i threw this question to a long time heejin fan. so i'll just relay that info. Heejin definitely was instrumental in winning those championships, along with Jeongah.

She was great as a MB (at least a few seasons back), as theloneracer had mentioned, she even won MVP before. But, remember these players have committments in NT too? And who plays OPP in the NT? None other than Heejin. Apparently, she's played the most number of matches as a member of NT.

So, during off league season, she goes into NT. Not much rest i guess, and injuries will start piling up. I think Heejin played her butts off when she was younger. That accumulation could have resulted in injuries, and with injuries, it's really hard to get back into form, when you get no rest. (how long did she rest before being called up for OG?)

For me personally, she isn't prolific as a MB. she seems to have slowed down or lost that MB "senses", if she was great in that past. I dont think she made any blocks today...

Like suminj i love heejin as a OPP in NT with Lavarini, so i would want to see her one day play OPP in league too. if she'll do as well when she's in NT lol

KGC playing so much better than the previous season. Maybe it's still too early to say, perhaps KGC did spend some well worth money on Soyoung.

Has Kim Heejin always been a MB in the league? I haven't seen her play much as a OP in the league (only in Int'l matches), and it seems her wings are being clipped as a MB. She was really good in the world cup in 2019, when healthy. Such a waste of talent to not play the OP role.

I could actually see IBK in the last position if they don't hmm.. buck up (but how?).

finally watched kgc vs peppers match, i like the energy from the young team, and how they celebrated every point, especially choi ga eun. cute. and welcome back spectators!

imo, it's setter. I mean, yes, IBK is horrible at receives (total meltdown at the 2nd set). But even when they did manage to receive nicely, setter aka songhwa can do a bump set, which slows down the ball, hyundai blockers are there ready to block it down.

songhwa's sets are predictable, and slow. she does so many bump settings. the sub setter is also ordinary. I've heard a commentator saying, a good setter will help the players get out of tough situations and get them to score.

If the players get less than ideal sets, they would need to play smarter to score? hahahah idk man...

Rebecca Lassam, so far, she seems to be the weakest amongst the foreign players after the 4 games. Then again, is it because of the sets?

And i'm looking forward to see who will be able to stop Yasmin.
