Lorena missed important attacks on 4th set, maybe Barueri could go to a tie break... well, now Sesc is doing really good in the last games, probably we will have Sesc x Osasco in quarterfinals!

I'm not really into the V-League, but it seems that Lorenne is doing good playing for Saitama these last games...
-
the fact that they lost this badly even with Lara going 10/10 in attacks + 3 blocks and 1 ace lol
It was a great match by Barueri overall. Diana had 10/11 + 4 blocks, besides another good match from Lorrayna...

The 31 pts from Tainara!
-
Amazing match! Tainara and Carol carried Praia on their back in 5 sets, but Flamengo made an amazing comeback!!
-
from an outsider's perspective.... Brazil's opp situation seems way more problematic than their OHs
Brasil has Lorenne, Lorrayna, Kisy and Kimberly and maybe Helena from U18. I think it's kinda weird think that from 5 young OPP, none of them will at least become reliable in international level...
-
Why?
Don't you think her reception level stands in the way?
I'd rather see Rosamaria as OH and Tainara as OPP and I'll die on this hill
Brazil needs much more OHs in the NT. Our renew is really bad in this area. Glayce and Karina aren't doing good in Barueri, Mayara benched in Fluminense... we have Ana Cristina and Julia Bergman, but we have much more players that can do something in position 1 (Lorrayna, Kisy, Bruna Moraes...). I'd rather teach her passing than just be one fighting for position on OPP position...
-
Tainara is playing well as an OPP... but I'd rather see her as an OH
-
I wanted to like Kisy more, but I don't know... I feel she's not aggressive enough...
Kisy is not explosive as Lorrayna, but she is smarter. If she gains more powerplay, she can be NT material for sure...
-
Minas lost once again in 5 sets, but I liked Kisy and Julia in general. They can be NT material soon...

The Macris magic comes to rescue!
BTW, 2 or 3 years ago, Tainara seemed like such a promising young player. Now she reversed backwards so much. What the hell happened to her? Is she only good under Zé Roberto's guidance?
It was a bad move going to Osasco. If she could stay at least one more season in Barueri she would be ready for a bigger club. But now she is playing so bad...

It's amazing how SESC/Rio is completely off... in the last 2 seasons seems that Bernardo don't really care anymore for his team. They don't have ANY reliabe OH/OP. The only one who is playing good is MB Valquiria (and only in the last few matches). Maira is really dropping her level on attack...
On the other hand, Osasco still have pieces to try something new. Fabiola and Tiffany were really bad and the entrance of Kenya and Ceren completely turned the tables for them. Kenya is really promissing and finally she was using more MB. Ceren was a great surprise!

Bruna (setter from Fluminense) got a suspension from CBV, she won't play against Osasco today. The reason is still unknown:

I just finished watching to Bauru vs Fluminense. I think what separates Bauru from the big ones is that they can’t easily win against those “smaller” teams. It is always a struggle (like the 3x2 score against Valinhos LOL), and the defeat today against Fluminense.
I know Flu has a nice team, I like them a lot, but in theory Sesi should have won against them. If they want to fight for titles, they need to change their looser mindset.
(On a side note, so sorry for Pamela. Her injury was really really ugly!)
Edit: just saw that Dani Lins posted a Instagram story showing that Thaisinha’s attack was super in and the main referee decided to call it out even though the line referee said it was in (it could have been 13x13 in the tie break). It is already hard to be a referee without the challenge system, and the job gets even harder if you decide not to trust your colleaguesFlu is the Curitiba of this season I also enjoy watching their games. I tought they would have more problems without Bruna, but Kimberly filled well the spot and is doing some really good games...
-
Lorenne has been doing some good games in Japan, with 20+ points in some cases. Hope she improves more and can grab a spot
I think Kimberly (OPP from Fluminense) is turning into a contender for a spot in NT. She is tall (1,90), strong and hit well. Made 26 pts last gama against Bauru...

I don't know, he was really bold last OG.. I think he'll surprise us.. We need to see atleast the Barueri girls there, Lorena and Karina are ready for international level volleyball
I think all the girls from Barueri (except of Lais) will be given a chance... Lorrayna is still prone to error, but she is improving. We should also see Ana Cristina and Julia Bergmann (Zé loves them both)
-
I would really like to see ZRG starting to renew this team, even though is a WCH year...
Unfortunately, I don't have any big expectations. We will probably see much of the same from 2021 (Gabi, Natalia, Gattaz...)

Gizem scolding Ana Cristina was so unnecessary and rude. I wish she wouldn’t do that.
In contrast, Gizem was very supportive towards Ana Cristina against Eczacibasi which is how it should be. I don’t think Ana Cristina is appreciated enough simply because she wasn’t given enough chance so far.And this is kind of weird, cause she did really good against Eczacibasi, so she could have more chances. Meliha isn't showing that worth in serve reception...
In the end, it was a bad move for her going to Fener. One or two more seasons in Brazil with Zé Roberto ou Bernardo and she would be ready for international level. But people say in Brazil that her family was eager to move abroad...

Pitty for GT, but Louisville was the clear favorite. Unfortunately, Julia was shut out from the match and couldn't handle it. Bramibilla played amazing, but it was a single player against a better team...
