They should get Tatsuya Fukuzawa. I always liked him as a player he was never as popular as Ishikawa cuz he had that old man vibe
That could be ...interesting. I don't know him well but he has been in the NT as long as Yanagida.

In case Noburo isn't the next NT coach, who are other possible candidates? aside from JT's madame coach.
What are the chances they get a foreign coach? I think the men's team's assistant coach is a foreigner.
How do you even come across these articles?
In my case, the fans I follow on twitter post the link directly to those yahoo articles. I assume they're subscribed to the volley feed so they get it automatically
Pretty normal, Japan vs Korea matches are highly anticipated by both countries and they have a strong rivalry with one another (due to political reasons)
Had Korea lost to Japan they'd be on the receiving end of the hate by Koreans & Korean media too, they're being heralded a lot now since they won over Japan
That's not the issue this time
Melissa Valdes then if she survives V League
isn't that the Cuban player in Turkey?
The unanswered questions about Aihara are growing. Where do people get their info on what they think he's thinking?
the important ones to be sourced or killed
- was Kurogo his theory?
- is he anti-Miyashita
What theory?
Takeshita is right though. With Araki's exit all the veterans should follow her. It's time for the new gen to take over. This OG bombed big time and it's obvious that coaches are now prioritizing new blood. They should let go of all of Nakada's veterans and let Koga lead.
Also Ishii should retire
bring her back for the next cycle and yank shinnabe out of retirement. and semd korogo back to OH. maybe Ishii can learn to play Opp since her receiving is tragic.
If Aihara is the next NT coach that's a big no
Display More1 Yoshino Sato OH/MB 183cm - Denso
2 Nanami Asano OH/MB 183cm - Denso
3 Ayana Funane OH 180cm - Toyota
12 Somi Takahashi MB 184cm - ???
13 Madoka Kashimura MB/OH 183cm - Toray MB
14 Hiravivian Chidinma MB 182cm - uni(?)
Interesting. I have never heard of any of these girls. Denso's latest key player is a new MB I don't know her name, Manami? Minami? she's not that tall though.
There are tall players but their positions are not fixed. They sometimes play OH/MB. And we know they are not/will not be good enough.
Is that really the case? Who are these taller players? Which clubs?
"Ace" is not a volleyball thing. It's a Japanese thing, it's a part of their culture. Even Yakuzas had aces.
Oh well.
I do have to say, if it's possibly gonna be that damaging I think it's best to leave labels such as ''The ACE'' out completely tbh... It's generally clear who the ACE is in any team anyway without assigning it. (Egonu Italy, Boskovic Serbia, Gabi Brazil, Eda Turkey, Kim Korea, JT USA etc.)
When it comes down to it, I agree that Koga is the real ACE here, but during a finals or semi finals do you think anyone will care who is appointed the ACE of a team, nope. The best player/scorer gets MVP and that's it.
Japan has always had an ace system because that's how their promotion works. It may not matter to the rest of the world but within Japan they heavily rely on it. It's part of the team's branding.
Momii is listed as 177cm but she looks like she grew an inch or 2. She looks like she lost some weight and got taller.
Also it doesn't help that Kurogo always looks mad after every game, win or lose. She wasn't always this dislikable and obvious with her frustration. Like Nagaoka, she started out cheerful, mischievous and a moodmaker, both of them are now extremely withdrawn. I have an idea what changed it after 2019 but that's an entirely different matter. It's not a vibe you get from Japanese athletes in general. I think Nishida does it too but I don't follow the men's team as much however you will never ever see the likes of Yuki Ishikawa pouting. Composure has always been everything.
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss China. I don't know why they're not doing as well as expected but I don't think Lang Ping would want the team to fall just like that.
Well. Tweetfarts. I’ll believe it when I see it but if it happens I’ll give y’all the biggest “I told you so” you’ve ever seen
Why??? it doesn't make sense for her to transfer there. The only player I remember playing in Thailand was Okumura
Cute! She just gave birth recently right? now I want a shirt
does anyone know a way for fans outside japan to order merch? has anyone here tried ordering official merch? i was gonna buy nagaoka's clock but it's already sold out smh. if i can just buy mayu's shirt i could maybe pay a little more for it.
You'll need to find someone in Japan to buy it for you then have them ship it to you. Good luck with that though it's hard to find a Japanese fan that understands English
There used to be those lifesize cut-outs of players on Amazon, I was really tempted to buy but the reviews were all negative oops
Nilüfer doesnt have a OPP but they signed another foreign MB. Sobolska. She isnt even that good+this is their 3rd foreign transfer. I dont get it
Sobolska is not even young and she's one of those players who is lacking in almost every area
