If anyone is unlucky in the NT it was always Uchiseto. They kept doing her dirty. Do you guys remember during Nakada's term some girl got her ACL injury and the one who got the pity invite was Uchiseto. Then Manabe finally gives her a chance with the main team and forced her to play a different position. She always got the short end of everything. Still for someone her height she was a great player both in offense and defense.
But that was her teammate Yoshino something but yeah she was never called during Nakada's Road to Tokyo
I want them to revive the legendary Pioneer Red Wings
We don't know yet if there will be a V3 next season. I think there will be, but nobody is saying. If they do have V3 it will probably just be a triple Round Robin, and V2 will be a double Round Robin like it was this year
How many teams are included in this? Where does Viale Hyogo fall under?
How will the matches work now that there's a V3? I assume by next season with the launch of the new SVL
I've said this before but until now I still don't get Yoshioka's appeal. Is she still a thing? I don't think I've seen her play this season.
Same I thought she retired lol
I think Mayumi Saito did well at Gunma V2 but surprisingly they weren't the team that advanced to V1. I want to see her coach in V1.
Asako Tajimi is stepping down from Hitachi after Black Eagle Flag. Their new coach will be
Will be??
Why didn't JVA post that? they posted Toyota girl's birthday group photo but not Watanabe's
Not Otomo's daughter looking like Shion's doppelganger
it’s weird, watching that it seemed like Saki had about twice as many points as Fukazawa. I guess I’m just seeing what I wanna see.
I managed to watch a lil bit from the 1st to 2nd set but had to do something so I couldn't watch the whole thing. Fukazawa isn't very exciting to watch it could be her dead eyes. She's someone that grows on you.
Regardless it's good that she's stepping up. I'm sure she will fulfill ishii's role just fine ...but in a different way.
Hammy is extra energetic in this match
Kurihara prior to Kana Oyama's injury was actually effective on the court; Oyama was dubbed the "ace" back then and I remember watching her just being so ineffective getting blocked so many times compared to some of their smaller hitters (especially "Shin" Takahashi; she was one of my favorites). I'm pretty sure Japan's ace culture had an adverse affect on her performance and whether it was pressure or injury she was much less effective post-Athens compared to pre-Athens when all the attention was on Oyama. I think Saori is the only ace I've seen who has not been affected by this "syndrome".
Fair enough. Kurihara had a spine injury while she played for Dinamo Kazan it got worse 2 years later that she had to get surgery after leaving Okayama Seagulls.
Shin is also my favorite. Sakoda said she studied her attack form during her early days at Toray.
Are Wilhite and Neriman the only foreign players who have announced their departure? That means Lozo and Van Hecke will renew
I can't remember how they were as a team not exactly the winning bunch but they were tall and that was a factor to making them look worldclass. Kurihara was a mess in most of the matches I've seen but their coach made it seem like she was Japan's Gamova or something. Most annoying part of that era. Never liked her as a player. Very overrated.
By the way all 4 represented Japan
But Sakino was not a highschool ace nor did she play a vital role in the NT but at that time she was one of the taller MBs
Wasn't this during the Kiseki era? that would make Sakino one of the shortest MBs not tallest.
This team even with the TakeSano duo was the tallest in history. The current teams are now chibi
I can't... but so true. Fyi Miyu is still friends with De Gennaro.
Let's hope Mayu makes friends in Italy.
Mayu x Egonu
I miss those days when the holy trinity of Asian aces were friendly with each other. I don't know if Saori was ever friendly with Zhu but I know Zhu and Miyashita had a behind the scenes moment years ago.
Now we don't even see Japanese players with anyone except themselves and players they know from the league.
That's why no one gives af about Japan lmao
Mizuno Hinotori photoshoot today
mother of god i can't believe nagaoka is returning i'm so full of gas right now i was fully expecting her to retire this season. i don't know how to what how idk
I look forward to seeing NT articles after the league is over with very professional and classy totally necessary commentary
