Don't mind my photoshop (paint:D) skills but this is what I think quarterfinal matches will be. I'll pray that the Turkey-Poland match will be as spectacular as it was at the Olympic qualification tournament in January 2020. Also I hope the Netherlands will overcome their Germany-anxiety that seems to exist in important matches. If so, they have a realistic chance to meet Italy/Russia in semifinal. I think 1/8 final will be tougher than a potential quarterfinal against Bulgaria (i hope I won't get attacked by the Bulgaria loving new users)

And I think so, the Netherlands plays harder against Germany than with Bulgaria

Terzic was at least unsatisfied with way of Serbia played against Belgium.

"We celebrated as against France, but backthen I was really happy with the game. This is how we can loose European Championship. We fell out of rhythm and lost concentration. We were too relaxed, I hope it will come to mind in time. I don't think we relied too much on Tijana's quality, but when nothing else works, then we had to go through it. It wasn’t even a basic problem because we were good in the first attack. When we have this first attack, we can beat everyone. We did not play well on our service, they had a good reception and did what they wanted. The block and defense did not work. Azerbaijan is perhaps the weakest team in the group. They came with a team that no one knows, they play poorly, while against Russia, if we play like this, we have nothing to look for. They are young, high quality and promising. Those players are eager for success and it is absurd that Russia will have a greater desire to beat us than we do for them."

I always liked Terzic statements and thinking! Implement such a system in Serbia that even giants like China and Russia (which are dinosaurs in volleyball) are afraid of them. I hope to be the leader of the team for many years to come and to bring success✌️

Elena Pietrini is not getting enough attention as She should.

That girl is on another level from attacking that become so brutal, serve and her recetion. It doesn’t matter if sets are perfect or OOS. In such a short period She become all around OH at only of AGE of 21 YEARS OLD. And She is still improving and She needs to improve even more. She is finally becoming a player that everyone were expecting.

I think She is on top when it comes to OHs at this ECH. I don’t see many players better her. She even has better % in attack than Paola Egonu :white::white:

Her serve is becoming more and more brutal, She even hits it from service line over 100km/h.

I also like her, she has exactly the American style of play and athleticism! If she believes a little more in herself and is more persistent, she will surely be a star😉

Well, I don’t like this user being aggressive all the time without any reason. And as for the aggresive behaviour on the court, it is fun sometimes but not when your almost all team is being nasty and without any provocation. It is ugly.

as for Maja, there are times she did this unnecessarly but that time she screamed to Guidetti was fun and also so called-for. She also could be the only player who has the audacity to scream to Guidetti himself.

"I don't like the aggression of this user, but it's funny how Maya shouts at Guidetti", a ?!🤣🤣🤣

It's time to give way to the young players, Goncharova can pass the baton to Akimova / Smirnova / Pisarevskaya / Antropova (as long as she wants to play for Russia!), As Brakocevic did years ago. Pilipenko is not a the reception, her role is the defense, Startseva must also give way to Matveeva / Popova / Kondrashova / Doronicheva. Russia has a good list of players, as long as there is someone to train them normally, and not some statistician to lead, a country that is used to winning, not to be satisfied with 5-8 places!

Their behavior is no different from that of many other countries! Germany, Turkey, Poland, the Netherlands, Italy are also shouting against their rivals, but because there are many fans here and the above countries, you close your eyes and enjoy these screams, but when the Bulgarians, not so much shouting, but winning, you anger, you can not find a place of malice

First of all, this proverb is present in many cultures (Polish as well), so it's not ''Bulgarian" per se (I googled and it has probably Turkish ethymology), and secondly, Bulgarian players are criticized for their behaviour, not for their level of play, and you can lose like a winner and win like a loser. I don't care that much about this type of stuff, I understand people angry about that tho.

It doesn't matter who uses it, the important thing is that it is Bulgarian! Bulgaria won, I give you a glass of cold water😉

I would like to see Kapustina as a diagonal for Russia! In reception she is weak, but her attack is more powerful than that of Smirnova and Lazareva. But these are just my thoughts, obviously the coach will rely on Lazareva, as a key player! Most likely we will see the Russia-Serbia match again. Croatia are nothing special, we saw them against Italy, their level is Hungary, Slovakia. Smirnova - Kadochkina - Fedorovtseva - Matveeva - Enina - Kotova, as a starting lineup and inclusion of Brovkina (who as a reserve plays better than as a main player).

An amazing match on the part of Belarus! They played as a team in the last 3 games against Hungary, thanks to Kananovich varied game and Vera better attack and defense. Markevich disappointed me, in such an important match for Belarus, she collapsed, Lopato I don't know why they put her as a main setter, as she plays the Russian style of play ?! 😏
