I feel like somebody like Iris Scholten, who is no world beater, would be better than Plak and Dambrink combined right now.

I would not invite Dambrink again to NT unless she plays a good pro season in international league. She looks unfit and barely moves off the ground when jumping.

Also can't bear watching Plak flailing around anymore . It was funny 6 years ago when she was still scoring points. Now she brings nothing to the table.

If Selinger had some vision he would follow BE example and built the team around OH attack. Anyone would be better in OPP position than actual OPPs in the team. Grothues could have played a big role this tournament.

Also miss De Kruijf so much now nobody can score in zone 2. Lohuis on the slide doesn't even come close.

Bongaerts is not better than Dijkema. They only won 1 set against Belgium because of Dijkema.

Dijkema stabilized the match for NL and brought energy on court. No idea why she was subbed out end of 4th set but unsurpising they went on to lose.

Somebody hand Sloetjes a jersey and get her on court.

Hmmm, even Polder gets more playing time than Baijens now.

This is so bad for development for young players, they will not find a foreign team at this time

Seems like not many players subscribe to Selingers vision or want to be coached by him all year. Earlier this year he talked about wanting the entire Dutch NT to prepare only in NL, and not go to club teams where the players come back injured/ out of shape, while his team22 players were in much better shape, according to him. Meanwhile the reality is that Schoot was nowhere near last years form and Dambrink has no significant improvement.

Wasn't he also cut for the Olympics? I don't get it, whenever I watch Japanese NT he is standout performance. Including this year VNL where he had multiple matches with 10+ points scored.

Great win for Dutch team over Argentina. Must have been some time ago since Dutch men perform better than the women.

I like the switch of Andringa to libero. I remember a match last year where he had great attacking performance, but he's doing really good in defense/reception. Good move. Also finally the MB's having some more presence.

Poor PH fans having to watch Japan tank to France with the B team.. though they fought quite well. And I like watching MB Takahashi.

Nishida and Ishikawa deserve the hype because they back it up. 28 and 20 points respectively.

I only know Ran from the hype so when you watch the match statistics it is underwhelming. 8 points in 5 sets.

I guess his strength is reception, but there his stats are not better than Ishikawa. Succesful digs are also low.
