Certainly quite a few rumors floating around the internet on who's going to be appointed as head coach...Feng Kun, Yang Hao...does that mean An Jiajie or Lai Yawen are not in favor by the association?

I still want to understand what happened to china in tokyo2020

Me too... I find it rather strange that all these years they have been training not to over depend on Zhu Ting ... that's why after Rio, Zhu Ting has not score like 30 points in a match...

I read a translation somewhere which stated that she said that she herself was personally responsible and at fault for the losses, and that she apologizes to the country and everyone. So, there's that for anyone looking to blame Lang Ping for everything...

I also don't believe that Zhu Ting's "injury" is the whole story - she looked so strong at the Tokyo Challenge event which wasn't even that long ago...how on earth could she have deteriorated so much since then?

It can't be a coincidence that so many of them were injured after Rimini...if so, then it wasn't a wise decision for the starters to play in that tournament....

I always thought Jenny Lang Ping was a breath of fresh air for China...she was different from the set of former coaches who were so common in the Chinese sport system where training were almost so brutal...she prioritize health and welfare of her players...this seem like a blot on her illustrious coaching career in China..

I guess Jenny Lang Ping has to answer for her choices..she may step down as head coach after this...as the win over Italy will create more questions than answers.. it's a bitter pill for China's fans for the way they lost the opening 3 matches and not qualifying for the quarter finals for the 1st time in 37 years !

The only surprise of this roster is there's no surprise... was hoping Lang Ping could unearth a couple of exciting new comers...

Zhang Changning had a really bad match..her 2 mistakes when China were 2 up in the 4th caused the turnaround...and the serve into the net for set point.. most likely she wouldn't sleep well tonight.

Gotta love the reaction from Lang Ping in the 4th set against Canada when Yao Di took the ball from Li Yao...never seen her like this before. She looked stern throughout the set..
