Roberta was pretty good that year (it was the last year before the Robia connection...). But Macris was still the better setter. I'm not sure if it was the case that year, but I think in some years they chose the setter based on statistics, so it's almost a "happy coincidence" that Macris was awarded best setter that many times. She was always deserving, but we know how this goes sometimes with the statistics for setters.

I think Minas is struggling too much with Daroit, she's making the team unbalanced. But Macris needs to find a way to have the MB's in the game, even if reception is not perfect. Serve can be better too.

That's always difficult to assess... I think she's in a learning process. Last year she took part in the Inquiry Commission the opposition launched to make the government accountable on the horrible way they dealt with the COVID pandemic. The most memorable episode I have from Leila was when she confronted a douchebag Senator from the government, who was trying to minimize an act of sexism that (guess!) another guy from the government had against another female Senator.

Praia is so "deitão"... They choke like there's no tomorrow... But Minas didn't took the opportunities. This set only Neriman and Thaísa were scoring... And so many service mistakes...

BTW, I love that so far Claudinha has tried like half a dozen second ball tips and not one has fallen.

Unfortunately, Macris is not having a good match so far. I think she lost confidence in Daroit and now she insists too much with Kisy.
