Tough collapse by JT . They were in control of that 4th set until they lost control. I thought they'd pull an 0–2 comeback because Toray, while looking generally better , got a lot of lucky ball bounces in the first two sets
I think there will be stats posted at some point
funny that Toray seem to be more lethal when they are out of system. Just proves how strong their OHs are.

Fly me to Saitama
Toyota's a good team now
Himeji lost
Kurobe
Come on Hitachi. This is your year
I'll have to catch replays, was watching Uni Ball
Koga's attack efficiency is so high for an OH. She's never went below 30% so far. How I wish she's playing for Vakifbank replacing MBH.
Edit: She's also currently the top 3 blocker. Just wow

I'm okay with Fukudome but I'm enjoying Miiku Iwasawa and Hitomi Fukumoto more. Iwasawa has a little U-Squad experience but she went from HS (Seitoku) to Saitama and might need to ferment a while longer. Still young.
Iwasawa isn't reception ranked because of not enough sets played, I guess. She's @69% on 121 touches (compared to Top Gun Yuka Meguru @70% on 134 touches) ... Yamagishi isn't ranked either @77% on 75 touches
Iwasawa is pretty impressive. She receives deep serves effortlessly—moves back so fast and not a midline passer (Karch would love her as libero!) . She also digs and pancakes better than Yamagishi who now can’t dig up speedy balls that goes straight to her. Only problem I see with Iwasawa is lack of ball controll when digging. If she fixes it, she might get called and force Yamagishi to retire.

Out of respect for both players Manabe isn't going to make them extras.
Then Miyashita must have felt disrespected

Springs just released the video of the interview with the shots also of her teammates. You can see that many of them are crying. Also the thing I forgot to mention was that they said it was two years since she had been in the starting lineup. This was an incredible performance for her. She actually did really well then.
She is at 218 per league stats page.
230 is essentially 10x23 matches. League arbitrarily came up with this number at 2-3 matches per opponent a year in regular season (18-27 range) plus, playoffs (3-5) range. Say a team played in a 10 team league plus made playoffs you might have 21-23 games. In an 8 team league 24-27.
Right now 33 games (3 x against all teams) plus 3-4 playoffs.
Woah her spike reach is still high. She can hit the ball over Mayu’s block: pause @ 0:10

Do you think Manabe plans to take back Ishii and Nagaoka to the NT? Does anyone know when they will retire?
-
so the standings have kinda returned to the usual v.league standings after week 3

What's with the trend of so many players playing without knee pads these days? And it's popular with liberos
Also, so many players without elbow pads: Okawa, Kurogo, Momoko Niida, Miiku Iwasawa, Takaso, Nakajima, Airi Miyabe
looks odd to me to see so many Japanese not in "full armor"
-
JT is not like Hisamitsu since Hayashi is not an ace and the only other A Team NTer there is Momii both still unknown to the general public. Toray is the current Hisamitsu since they have Mayu and Kurogo both well known by the GP.
What I mean is most of the JT girls are in the national team (Both Team A and B)
-
saw some familiar faces today, No. 6 Tanaka and no. 1 Nishikawa both played in the AVC Cup didn’t they? They played a big part in helping Japan win the tournament, imo...
they did. JT is technically a national team which Hisamitsu used to be

Is Toray’s Kurumi Manabe related to Masayoshi Manabe?

What’s the difference between withdraw amd resign?

Oh no Uchiseto will be definitely cut after WC

Why does Egonu look “lazy” in international competitions. She seems motivated and more aggresive at the club level.
