The few times I watched her she definitely seemed talented, but A1 looks like a big step indeed
It's OT, but I had the same impression.

The league is getting stronger.
Aranda!
Trabzonspor did found a male volleyball team years ago indeed but it didn't last long, I think they relegated the year after. They don't have a history of investment in other sports besides football, so on paper they might have teams in other sports but they don't have culture and vision to invest in other sports. Also they have a terrible football fanbase known to be hooligans. So I am not sure if it is actually good news to have them in sultanlar ligi. Volleyball always had more educated/civilized audience but the profile is changing in recent years after these 'football clubs' started to invest in their volleyball teams
Hopefully it works out well for Trabzonspor as well. They had a men's team in 2015-16, but failed to be promoted in the semifinals and disappeared right after.
My point is that the league within a few decades may have a very strong structure and tradition with these kind of clubs.
We don't know what may happen to Vero Volley and Savino Del Bene if they will never succeed or to Imoco on the long run. Italian clubs close because they win it all and start to reduce the budget or because they don't win at all.
If you take a look to a 10 years old season of Serie A1, most of those teams don't exist anymore or left the pro activities to focus on their academies; this is Serie A1 2014-15:
Busto Arsizio rebranded as UYBA
Casalmaggiore relegated to A2 in order to survive
San Casciano rebranded as Firenze
Only 5 club are still active in Serie A1.
On the other hand, Sultanlar Ligi this season had 8 teams already playing 10 years ago + Canakkale, Ilbank and Yesilyurt playing in the second division.
Çanakkale in second division
İlbank in second division
Yeşilyurt in second division
It seems Trabzonspor wants to join Sultanlar Ligi sooner or later. They may start from Voleybol 1. Ligi.
It's another strong multisport club. Turkish league may be very strong in the years to come. Not only they are financially stronger, but they also put money on big structured clubs with great tradition in sport.
Fenerbahce, Besiktas and Galatasaray are big multisport clubs. Trabzonspor and Goztepe are almost as big as them.
Turk Hava Yollari, Nilufer and Ilbank are smaller multisports clubs.
Eczacibasi and VakifBank used to be a multisport clubs.
what stevanovic yhing? 😭😭
There were fanfiction about Stevanovic and Lloyd and their love.
Tamara Otene feels like she could be an underrated signing for someone (if she wants to go to Europe anyways, she's from New Zealand)
Totally agree. She has been great during LVSF.
Smrek, Yurtdagulen and Kalandadze are rumored to join Aras Kargo.
Very good. Signing the fresh out college players is the best way to create a fanbase for the teams.
PVF is very far in terms of big crowd. Once Supernovas will leave for MLV, they will also see their average crowd go down because Omaha was breaking few records this season...
So how has Guidetti's coaching work been good then, if for the majority of the season they havent been playing up to their standards?
It's the third time, I write this.
When his players improved their level, the teams were pretty close and you could see the better tachtical of Vakif. This is were Guidetti makes the difference.
Who is Lentopallo?
I guess her club, Lentopallo Kangasala.
They did have weaker roster compared to Ecza and Fener last year, but he still picked the players so it's not like he has no responsibility about last season. About this season, who are the weaker locals exactly? Zehra is playing better than both Asli and Eda rn, they have Derya, who I wouldn't say is worse than Meliha, they have cansu and sila who are not worse than Drca and arelya and the only position where fener is actually better on paper is the libero. The truth is that the foreigners of Vakif have made the difference so far in the finals, that's partly because the coaching from Fener is bad and he is not using Meliha as a starter so far. Last but not least , Guidetti was eliminated in the cup by Eczacibasi, where was his great coaching work then?
Zehra was very bad till a month ago, like a ghost. Cansu a little bit better, but still far from her best level (she struggled with injuries). So yes, local players for Fener were better both on paper and on court. Fener as a whole team looked better in paper.
Li Y got two offers from two Italian clubs. I’m 100% sure Milan is one of them.
But report says Li Y can’t make this decision, club and government is deciding if She can leave Tianjin.
How is that Zhu can leave China for so many years but She can’t ?!
Olympic gold medal.
Lang Ping.
Injury.
Last season they didnt even finish second, and also Guidetti picked the players and its not like vakif cant afford to get top or close to top players. And they had Caratasu as a local lol. Apart from that, in the 2022-2023 season Vakif almost lost the turkish league , but they managed to comeback in the fourth game of the finals thanks to Tugba, who made the difference coming from the bench. So it's not like local players can't make the difference Guidetti just didn't pick the right ones.
I'm saying exactly the opposite. Vakif had weaker local players and combination of foreign players. This season they still have weaker local players, but better foreigners compared to the last seasons and pretty much equals to the ones of Fenerbahce. Once the gap was reduced, the coach's Job became more important and Vakif plays like a oiled machine. KVR is exploring her full potential, Zehra is back in good shape and Cansu plays like her best days.
Against Lavarini he lost.
It's pointless.
Both Lavarini's Fener and Fenoglio's Fener were supposed to be stronger on paper than Vakif. Also Fener had a huge turnaround once they signed Gizem and Vargas was naturalized: Fener local players were Eda, Gizem, Vargas and Asli; Vakif local players were Zehra, Cansu, Aykac/Aylin, Akbay/Deniz.
This season Vakif is upsetting them because the gap was reduced - mostly because of Markova - and Guidetti can prepare the game perfectly, unlike the coaches of their opponents. On a tough game, Vakif has always edge on the opponent thanks to their perfect preparition and incredible fighting spirit.
Last but not least, Zehra is finding a good shape at the perfect moment, after 2 seasons of up and downs.
VakifBank as one advantage: GUIDETTI.
Miku needs to do something about her hair. That helmet head's gotta go. Maybe shave it bald. That might look really cool
Not you, spreading good vibes all over the place.
Milano beat them last year in CL SF
but ı agree with your point. Even Gasparini said they copied what Vakıfbank did in the last years.
Oh, right, I was thinking about Egonu, but she moved to Vero Volley indeed.
Still, except Vakif, no teams has easy life to beat Fener in their golden trio era.
We should not forget they ALWAYS lose only to Vakif. No one else figured out how to stop them, only Guidetti.
