I hope She is not, because Lubian and Fahr is better MB duo and Imoco should invest them and not to force them to leave. Robin is ready to for retirement and this two youngest are future of Imoco.
Poor Robin.
That depends what do you mean by a good setter. He played in Poland for two years and was as mediocre as anyone, basically. Not bad per se, but definitely not good as well. He just was.
This season he had less court time in Berlin. I saw Tille starting more often. If Taranto just wants to avoid the relegation, he is problably more than enough. All the new players look good on paper. If they want to qualify for the play-offs, then it's different.
Will Prometey still play in Czech Republic?
Juantorena OFFICIAL to Modena. This was the transfer i was more skeptic about.
Trinidad de Haro to Taranto. I honestly don’t know him too well, is he a good setter?
Yes. He's solid. And he's also tall and well experienced by now. He played for Callipo 10 years ago, when he was a child.
Nope only OH who could work is Gennari against Fener. Imoco couldn’t even play how bad they were organised in the reception. Covering Plummer and because of that both De Gennaro and Robinson were lost.
Yes Gennari is weak attacker but what do you have from Plummer and Gray attack when Wolosz can’t set to anyone.Santarelli had terrible plan against them…
It sounds like a excuse to justify the defeat, honestly.
Plummer received 25 balls in the 3-0 game in Turkey and 38 balls in the 3-2 in Italy.
How did they cover a player that received 63 balls in 2 games?
Robinson: 21 + 13 = 34 balls received
De Gennaro: 17 + 11 = 28 balls received
She received alone more balls than the other 2 combined (62 balls).
Congratz Imoco. I was supporting them.
From what I read they're thinking about keeping both Plummer and Robinson and adding Lanier, letting Gray and Gennari go. Maybe De Kruijf will be eligible as Italian next season, opening to some different set-up.
Good luck to Lanier, if she has to play a Plummer role next season.
And it's a bit strange that they'll let her go. Maybe they think Lanier will be able to do the same things but with better passing?
I don't know. Lanier improved drastically her passing, but her stats are just a little bit better than Plummer (among the outside hitters that receive a crazy amount of services). Maybe, if Robinson goes, it would be easier being in the reception line, because it's pretty clear no one this season served on the best receiving libero and outside hitter of the league.
But Plummer was even more exploited when she was in back row, and she continued to make errors in front row
Gray is the outside hitter that fits better in the Imoco crazy fast system out of the four of them (her, Plummer, Robinson and Gennari).
Despite saving Conegliano in this set, Gray also showed why she played so little this season. There is a lot of weakness to exploit when she is in backrow
So far she made up for it with great attacking, but let's see what Milano will do about it...
She's supposed to be a weak receiver, probably even worse than Plummer, but Monza didn't make her the service target for some reason.
I wonder what would happen if she has to receive 50% of the services of the opponent team, which is what Plummer does every single game.
Many of Wolosz’ sets to Haak were too low…
I agree. Too low, too fast. Orro's setting is nothing special, but you can see the ball breathing during its parabola, it's not exasperatingly (and unnecessarily) fast.
Thompson is always hitting the ball at her best spiking reach. It has been making the difference so far.
Monza is serving very well, Imoco isn't. Most of all, they need to make Sylla her target again.
Thompson is playing so effortlessly that it seems like she's playing one of her 30+ points game of her NCAA career.
So sad for Rhamat!
Since there is no Eredivisie topic, I'll ask here: what happened to VCN (Capelle)? They used to produce nice players.
Naah, Sirci said that they want to play in cups next year and if not, they would have played with back-ups like Modena.
Here in PG, many of us had the opposite impression.
Maybe Sir Safety didn't want to play Challenge Cup at all. Long trips, zero appeal = waste of money.
Easy 3-0 for Imoco. Monza lasted just one set. Imoco and Wolosz raised their level in the third set and it was too much to handle for Monza. Larson disappeared a bit.
