Yina Liu from Suhl to Münster. I wouldn't have expected that. She'll probably be the second setter behind Jordan and again won't play much.
Celine Jebens from Wiesbaden to Aachen. The diagonal duo of the Ladies in Black therefore consists of Jebens and Hanna Freiynfeldova from SSC II.
While there's no confirmation, it's most likely Shin Yoshida. He's been working as an assistant coach or rather a scout at SC Potsdam this season. Since he's currently looking for a club, it's more likely that he's following her and not the other way around.
I think it was him who gave Potsdam a pretty bad rating with the comment “payment late” on Volleybox recently. Even though the rating was given anonymously, no one else was actually eligible from the login times.
Probably a bit off topic but does anyone know if they can earn more money in the 2nd italian league than in a mid level german club?
I have heard that she will earn even more money in the 2nd italian league than in Schwerin. But I don't know if that's true.
The SSC website now also contains information about the leaving players. As far as I know, Marie Hänle will play in the 2nd Italian league.
I'm not talking about the A-team. With Cekulaev, Schölzel, Strubbe, and Weitzel, we have a middle block quartet that sets itself up. But who do we have behind them who is a candidate for the World University Games? Last year, for the training camp, van Clewe, Berger, and Linke were nominated for the middle block. The first two should be certain to be selected based on their performances this season. But at least in my opinion, we should have significantly better options than Lena Linke, and that's where Athina comes to mind, or even Alexia Kühl. Theoretically, Lea Ambrosius could also be a possibility.
I hope a club from the second half of the 1st division has an eye on Betty Lange. She had a pretty good first season in Leverkusen. I'd like to see how she develops in the first division. She could be part of the extended circle in 2 years...
Unfortunately, it's hard to judge Leandra Negri. Hopefully she can play more often in her second season in Suhl. However, she is unlikely to be preferred to Laakonen/Berger.
Spanish OH Cayetana Lopez Rey from Vilsbiburg to VC Wiesbaden. They also announced that Marlene Rieger will be part of the Bundesliga team next season after helping out already this season.
Good transfer in my eyes for Wiesbaden. I watched 2-3 games with her in the 2nd League Pro and I trust her to put in a solid performance in the Bundesliga.
Display MoreOne of Stuttgart's main sponsors Scharr leaked that Reesink will indeed go to Schwerin
It says: "Dutch NT libero Florien Reesink leaves Stuttgart after one season and joins SSC Palmberg Schwerin".
Terrible transfer IMO
The sponsor wasn't even able to spell her name correctly in the picture... ![]()
If it's true, it's definitely a downgrade for Schwerin compared to Pogany and Llabres in previous years. But who knows, maybe it's not such a bad thing for Reesink that expectations are low. Then she can surprise positively,
More news from Schwerin in the Ostsee Zeitung: Meg Wolowicz will play in France next year. Britte Stuut will definitely play in Schwerin next season.
In addition to the many players, long-time head scout Olaf Garbe will be retiring. He will stay with the club as a mini-jobber and train his successor.
The local Schweriner Zeitung writes that Llabres “hopes to get a spot in one of the US leagues”. Jaelyn Keene is probably also going to Italy.
Now it's official: nine players are leaving Schwerin. Elles Dambrink (to Italy), Nova Marring (to Italy), Karla Antunovic (to Italy), Patricia Llabres (wants to live closer to her husband), Marie Hänle, Beem, Jaelyn Keene, Meg Wolowicz; Fleur Savelkoel has not received a new contract offer from the club.
The article also says that Nova Marring had to have knee surgery again. I'm unsure if it's the right choice for her to move to Italy now.
Is it certain that Keene leaves? I agree she was very important and will be hard to replace.
About Susan Schut, I wonder if she might return to Schwerin next season
She now played a full season as starter in Aachen with overall decent performance, so maybe now she is more "ready" for Schwerin than last season when even as emergency transfer she already showed good things.
I've spoken to a few people. She will be leaving the club. There's a ceremony on Monday in the Palmberg Arena. I think that's where they'll officially say goodbye to the players.
The atmosphere in the Palmberg Arena was great today. So many former players were in the crowd: Louisa Lippmann, Susan Schut, Pia Fernau (even in the SSC jersey), Jennifer Janiska...
I'm worried about Nova Marring, after she was back in the squad for a playoff game, she wasn't even in the arena... Fleur Savelkoel wasn't there either.
It's a shame that so many players will be leaving the SSC. Dambrink and Llabres were guarantors for the championship title. Keene will also be missing. Wolowicz was - even if she didn't play regularly - immensely important for the atmosphere in the team.
Who's the setter?
It think it will be Kohn/Jaksetic (as it was actually planned for this season)
I was in the hall. She was sitting on the bench after her substitution and looked a bit dejected. But later I didn't get the feeling that anything was wrong.
I can't believe it. Stuttgart led 17-10 in the third set and then completely collapsed ![]()
Knollema is starting for Stuttgart, but Rivers is on bench
Unfortunately the match is only on Dyn so I can't watch, does anybody have info why Rivers isn't playing?
She has/had an infection, the commentators said. She's wearing a jersey, but no knee pads. I think she'll only be used in an emergency.
Suhl's press says the six players are leaving and six new ones will come, but the article is paywalled. From the preview I can only tell that Julia De Paula, Jette Kuipers and Anna Artyshuk are leaving, but none of that is new info. Does anybody know more?
Regarding Suhl:
- Libera Minami Yoshioka goes back to Japan
- De Paula would have liked to stay, but has to go to Stuttgart.
- Lydia Stemmler and Yina Liu are also leaving the club
- The contracts of Emma Sambale and Leandra Rixa Negri are to be extended soon. No signatures have yet been made.
The Suhl commentators said in the Dyn-Stream that Jette Kuipers will play in Dresden next season.
