Omg what a match from us!! We finally beat the only team we haven't been able to beat this cycle. I feel like this is going to be really major for the team morale.
Congrats girls!!!

Macris that was so smooth!!
Roberta is running the offense so well
I'm sorry Thaisa but Julia K / Diana for Paris
Honestly just take all of them. We don't need Pri.
Is this a dream?
Diana came to slay in this second set
Ana is so good on set points
One set down, two to go! If there's anything to criticize, I think we could do a bit more in block, but I'm super happy with the way we're playing so far. Also those leaves... please stop doing that.
At the moment best player for Brazil is Ana C.
All the pins are playing very well today
Nyeme and her leaves lol
Gabi is killing itttt
Love this crowd
There are also pride temp tattoos being distributed in the gym btw. Would be pretty homophobic if the USA didn't let us take this one lol
oh wow, Diana and Julia Kudiess are the starting MBs instead of Carol, Thaisa. More playing time to the youngsters.
Yes, pleasantly surprised. Makes sense, since they are the ones fighting for the spot and this is a great test. Still, I really want to win this one lol so I hope he puts Carol in if any of them start feeling the pressure.
China's block doesn't seem to be as sharp as it was yesterday. Or maybe Canada is hitting better out of system than the USA were yesterday.
For tonight's match against the USA, Brazil's liberos will be wearing a special shirt to launch CBV's (Brazilian Federation) new campaign against discrimination in sports. They chose to launch it today (May 17) because it is the international day against homophobia.
I'm always complaining about CBV (and they deserve it), but they should also be praised when they do something good, so: well done, CBV.
So the ones to stay out of the roster for tonight's match are Thaisa, Lorenne, Tainara and Luzia.
Honestly, I don't really get the decision to have Helena on the roster instead of Tainara. It's not like Helena is going to play (Zé would never throw her under the bus like that). But Tainara could actually make an impact as a sub if we were missing a power hitter on the right.
With that said, I really like this new mindset I'm seeing from the players about facing the USA. It seems like they are really desperate to win this time around, instead of just being like "oh the USA is a great team and we hope we can play well against them". So I'm cautiously optimistic.
I love that the chicas are winning, but this is an ugly match lol
Yay Japan! They deserved this, soooo many highlight reel-worthy plays from them today.
The whistlng at every serve of the opponent is so annoying. Probably only in Brasil you can see similar things.
Different cultures have different ways of cheering and that's the beauty of sports. It crosses the line when you start getting personal or discriminatory attacks targetted at players (or nations), but just being loud? Absolutely fine lol it's just good fun
