I’ve managed to get a picture with Paola and a picture with Myriam after Vero Volley’s match in Perugia last Saturday. And of course with Nika 🫶 so happy! Lots of Perugia fans were drooling over the Olympic players of Vero Volley, they even got a bouquet of flowers before the match.

This tournament is very weird because it is u17 instead of u18
that’s because fivb decided to have the same youth categories for girls as for boys.
“On 22 March 2022, the FIVB Board of Administration decided to change the age category of the tournament by moving it from U18 to U19 in order to equate it with the Boys' U19 World Championship.”so this is the first U17, the U18 became U19 with U19 world championships 2023 being the first tournament (although it’s not counted as the first but continuous on from the u18 tournaments)

jeps, I was excited to read NL would host VNL but quickly decided not to buy any tickets when I read it would be the first week. People didn’t like it no, maybe that’s why we’ve never hosted again?

That doesn't make any sense. Hosting vnl is very expensive and it is a great chance for federations to promote their NTs. Noone would want to put their b team to loose in front of home crowd.

I agree with this. TVF made the mistake to host first week of vnl, which means they will have to bring all A team players. I think next year they should host only second or third week of vnl and rotate starters.
it’s not obligatory to have A team play when hosting VNL 🤷♀️ Netherlands hosted a VNL week a few years back, first week I believe, and played with B-team
