I watched a bit and from what I see Gatina wasn't bad at all. Jeez, it's obvious her offensive skills can't be comparable to those of Markova, Fedorovtseva lol or maybe even Voronkova or Kapustina. However, what matters is her passing is okay and that is what her primary role should be.
And from what I saw, Popova sets better than Matveeva and Ozerova. I wonder when the Russians will get rid of the Matveeva lol. Correct me if I'm wrong, did Popova played alongside most of the national team members either at the same club or on the youth national team? if so, it can help find a better and faster connection.

I am wondering why Russia needs to receive another special treatment from FIVB... Canada said that they will not enter their country. It means that they need to be in the groups that are supposed to be played in USA, however Russia is low in ranking thus can't be seeded. How they want to resolve it? Imagine that they are drawed to the group in Canada or even worse with Canada? Then what? They will move them to another? It will mean that it will no longer be a draw when one team is treated differently than others.
You and a few other Poles need to get over this.
Especially Świderski, who ought to be more concerned about the fact that the Polish women's teams have failed in every tournament, failing to reach the podium in any category.
