IMO van der Pijl showed nothing that would justify her being called to NT this season other than being very tall Also the farewell announcement of Wiesbaden mentioned some (chronic?) health issues for her that didn't make it possible for her to perform better.

I believe Lyklema has been injured for some time. She wasnt in the roster of her team for the last matches of the champions league/cev cup if i remember correctly and they have a third setter now. But no news has been shared by dutch sources.

Van der Pijl joining the long list last year just because she joined an A1 team and sat on the bench the whole season (she was a bench player in the Eredivisie the year before that) made me laugh last year. Not suprised Koslowski put her on again.

I believe she has diabetes and she didnt complete the full summer programm because of that last year, so its baffling to me to put her on the long list again

Bit weird that they mention Plak opted out of this summer, but nothing about Lohuis.

Seems to me that even as a non-established player as long as you're in the hybrid programme/ felix' team, it does not matter if you sit on the bench the whole season....

Saar Meijer as a lib and not OH when she played more games as an OH than for example Pip Kok + there are other available (young) actual libs is a bit weird to me. With Hester not fully recovered my bet is on Marrit or Laura Jansen being the actual backup libero for at least the first part of the summer.

Setters seem interesting. Im excited to see if Konijnenberg/ Strikwerda (though she is young enough to join U22 i believe) will get to play.

I guess the elligible players on this list will also be part of the U22 squad? I dont really see any of them making the A squad. Maybe one of the middle blockers.

I was also confused thinking he had a girlfriend, so i looked at his (now ex) girlfriends insta and she posted a valentines day story yesterday with a link to a blog. In the blog it talked about how the love between her and Alex was over and what she learned from it, so seems like they are indeed broken up

He talked about his current battle with cancer, but also announced something positive: his wife is pregnant.

Because of the baby Sam mentioned that he would like to not play in Russia next year (travelling and families in Bulgaria and Belgium), but mentioned Italy and Turkey. His health situation makes it all a bit uncertain of course

im also suprised by Knollema as a OP with the OHs they have. Best guess would be that it's just temporary and between the three she's the best hitter on the right?

Really thought Cisterna would be the messiest/unstable A1 mens team im rooting for this season, but Lube decided to fight them for that title...

I had issues with that specific stream as well, it was just black for a long time.

I think it's more of a man ponytail, it reminds me of babys whose mothers put all their little hairs in 1 ponytail on the top of their head

Lavia was a ghost of himself during vnl this year. He deservedly so was a starter before, but he was a ghost during VNL and also part of club season. Di Giorgi refusing to take him out with only 1 attack point in 2,5 sets comes to mind...

real mvp might be Lavia's injury which forced Di Giorgi to finally play Bottolo as starter + gave the opportunity for Sani to join the team as service sub

(i do hope he recovers well because the incident + injury sounded horrible)

i would not be suprised if he has some type of issue/ a small injury. He was sitting down the whole time when he went of court and did not look comfortable. A previous game he was supposed to start and all of a sudden did not and only came in later.

what a shame they are going to end the summer with this game, because what a mess is this. We found our vnl form again i guess :-/
