I wish I lived in the world you created where the FIVB is paying Italy to naturalize Keita hahaha
I wish that Italy simply said yes to Keita and FIVB bit they are bitching because "GNE GNE GNE HE IS NOT REAL ITALIAN GNE GNE GNE"
If Italy doesn't naturalize Keita I will stop supporting them and when Turkey will win everything thanks to Keita i will harass every single member of FIPAV to death
Italian journalists are confirming the existence of the GIGA OFFER from Turkey who are willing to pay "whatever it takes" just to make Keita choose them even if he will only be able to play for Turkey in 2031
Of course they're not doing that, lol.
Mmmmmmm
There is no way TVF has a €65 million offer for him. Men’s volleyball isn’t that valuable in Turkey. if it is total money for the whole five years, only fools would make a €13 million investment for something five years down the line. Are you sure your information is accurate? The TVF may be foolish, but not to that extent.
I don't mean a salary of €13 million, I mean €13 million in total (salary, sponsorships, merchandising).
But yes, the offer is enormous because Keita rightly says, "If I come with you, I'll only play after 2028, maybe even not until 2031. What do you give me in exchange for this wait?"
Turkey answered "we will give so much money"
Furthermore, Keita's contract is not expiring this year, so Turkey would have to pay a lot of money to Verona.
what do you mean 13 000 0000 for a year???????
I mean Turkey offered him a contract: 5 years
13 000 000 per year
I don’t think Turkey will wait for five years; if we’re going to wait five years, then there’s no point anyway. If he chooses Turkey, I believe he’ll still play at LA 2028. If we’re going to wait more than two years, then there’s no point. I’m totaly against this naturalization.
Those are the new rules
3 years of living in the new country + 2 more years of waiting
Even if he can miraculously skip the two final years of waiting he will miss LA 2028
Turkey has contacted Keita and offered him Turkish citizenship.
Now, some context: according to the new rules, a player who wants to change national teams must: live in his new country for three years, then apply to the FIVB to play for his new national team. After the FIVB says yes, the player must wait another two years before starting to play for the national team.
Total waiting time: 5 years
Keita is one of the best players in the world, one of the most spectacular players in the media. The FIVB would like him to play for the 2028 Olympics, so the FIVB would like Italy to naturalize Keita. Keita has already lived in Italy for three years, so Keita could start playing for Italy in time for the 2028 Olympics.
The FIVB is putting a lot of pressure (some might say threatening) on Italy to naturalize him and include him in the starting lineup to see this incredible superstar at the 2028 Olympics. The FIVB calls the management and De Giorgi every day. To naturalize Keita, the FIVB is also willing to pay the Italian federation to make Keita a starter once he's naturalized.
Many Italian officials and players, however, oppose this, saying, "He doesn't love Italy(I think they actually mean "he's not the right skin color" because I don't remember those tears over Antropova or Zaytsev or Enescu.)
Turkey (and rightly so, anyone with more brains than the racist Italian management understands this) doesn't have these concerns and offers Keita a contract worth €13 million a year (including salaries, sponsorships, and bonuses) to move to the Turkish league and wait five years to play for Turkey.
Keita would miss the 2028 Olympics and the 2030 World Cup, which is why Turkey's monetary offer is so high: it's a reward for choosing Turkey, even at the cost of missing out on important competitions.

The only certain thing is that Keita will NOT become french

Rai did not even recognize Sinner last year at Nitto ATP FINALS
Not for long.
Soon enough Vakifbank decides they don’t need Russian Markova and go for Italian instead. That’ll be the last nail in the coffin of Serie A
Markova in exchange for Nervini is simply insane
The foreign limit for TL will not change
Beyza Arici to THY
Ljubicic leaving Zeren
So Zeren lost a coach and 4/7 starters +2 Aleksic and Gatina, likely other 3 as well just isn’t announced yet.
With Bernardi leaving I’m manifesting Ljubicic to Novara now, he isn’t that good for top level but he had great time with Zeren and I wanna see him continue in good clubs.
Very unlikely to happen though lol..
Zeren is financially fucked
If anything fener is strategically weakening ecza and vakif than italian teams with the same logic >>saliha, hande, jack, gizem. So you can stop with victimizing italian teams. Players are adults and they assess the offer with disadvantages and possible benchtime too.
I am not victimizing anyone
Why should I be angry at Turkey? Because they have money? Lol
I am saying for months that Italian league(both male and female) is fucked, Italy should focus only on developing Italian talents so that the national team will be saved from the decline
Can someone talk to me about Matilde Borello? Everyone is saying that she is super promising(her role is OH) but I don't know her well
If it's true that one national team is as good as another for him, as long as he can play, it really doesn't embody the identity that a national team should express and I won't waste time and resources on someone who's clearly not invested in wearing azzurro. You know my opinion on this and I fully agree with Muzzioli on the topic: https://www.volleyball.it/2026…-francia-e-lo-stesso.html.
If Keita doesn't join us, he'll join another national team.
Italy doesn't have 300 million inhabitants like the US, so I think denying Keita Italian citizenship just because he's "not perfectly Italian" is stupid (also because I haven't seen all this crying over Rychlicki and Antropova).
Serbia had Vargas in their grasp, but they denied him citizenship because "nooooo, Serbia must be pure gna gna."
Look where Turkey is now with Vargas, and where Serbia is now.
Plus, All those who have changed the national team have done so with the same logic as Keita, the only difference is that Keita is sincere but everyone thinks like him.
I don't know if you're interested, but I was right about Keita: if Italy doesn't give Italian citizenship to him QUICKLY then he could join another NT(if they pay him obviously)
In fact Keita threatened Italy that he also has a citizenship offer from France, so if they don't grant him Italian citizenship soon, he'll accept the French offer.
Source: https://www.ivolleymagazine.it…a-ma-anche-della-francia/
Personally, I think he's bluffing because with the new rules, the player will have to live for three years in the new country where he wants to play before asking the FIVB to change federations, and I can't imagine Keita playing in the French league.
But Keita is right: if Italy doesn't grant him citizenship because of our shitty government, then it's right for him to accept another offer, and when they eliminate us at the 2028 Olympics, we'll have to keep QUIET because we will have DESERVED it for not having naturalized him.
Isabella Oghara(2011) https://women.volleybox.net/it/isabella-oghara-p314368
OH
Strong attack
She's considered very promising and, in my opinion, has a future in Serie A1, but she still can't be called up for the national youth teams because, due to stupid Italian laws, she hasn't received Italian citizenship!
Fuck the Italian government! If Turkey offered her Turkish citizenship and she accepted, I couldn't criticize Turkey or Isabella; I'd only blame our disgusting Italian government.
In a world where everyone grants citizenship to athletes, Italy instead makes laws to prevent citizenship, to maintain a supposed racial purity that doesn't exist, given that Northern Italians have German and Slavic origins, and Southern Italians have Spanish and Arab origins But don't tell this to our Italian government, otherwise, in the next law they pass, they'll ban Italian citizenship even for Southern Italians because they're too brown.

With the "easing," we should have more friendly matches besides the one against Serbia.
I believe Brazil and Italy would accept.
Since the main Italian players will only return after the VNL, it would be a great test before the EC
Russia tried to invite Italy to a friendly in 2024 match but Italy feared that it would made FIVB very angry
