The root issue is, that sponsors for ....
I totally agree with you.
But who can change rules and in my opinion has the duty to save and support the economy no matter how big or small it is ? The government.

You can't blame the government because there is no culture of sports sponsorship aside from men's soccer in Germany.
When you ask me there is a culture of sports sponsorship in German volleyball. All teams are most sponsored from the local economy especially by small and medium - sized enterprises. You can look on every club side, most sponsors from local area. In Europe Germany has the highest energy costs and that is of no interest to any economy. (sorry for little off topic)
We will see what the future brings but I'm worried that we going back to 9 teams in league.
In general, the rosters of the weak teams don't look any better than last season
Borken kept most of their team without signing any real upgrade, Hamburg made some changes but other than Julevik none of their transfers looks any spectacular and Flacht barely announced anyone and the ones they announced are meh. At least Vilsbiburg seems to be able to build a fairly decent team that should fight with Erfurt for 8th place.
Where is the money supposed to come from? If the German government carries on like this in future you can close the championship. There won't be any sponsors from economy.
Schwerin and Suhl need some more players, right?
I wonder why they are so late with the announcements?
Suhl only needs one more player (MB) but I'm wondering too.
I think Emma won't play ECH. Today was start of training in Suhl and she was there.
I thought the plan was to give Sambale more responsability
I can't imagine they signed a Japanese libero who played in a good club for several years to spend the season on bench.
I think Suhl will play like last season. Sambale in reception and Yoshida in defense. In general it is competition inside the pack.
According to this paywalled article Japanese Libera Mana Yoshida joins VfB Suhl Lotto Thüringen.
last season
2025/26!
Maybe Sarah Stiriz?
The two players suhl want to sign are not Germans.
Spanish OH Candela Alonso Corcelles joins VfB SuhlLotto Thüringen.
At the moment Brancuska signed in Italy the german championship wasn't finished so 30k is still good money. VakifBank started becoming interested in her was Nations League time because her performance has not let up.
At the end the press didn't write the amount but to have more views they use these expressions like mid-range and i think 100k is way more realistic.
The rule about 12 to 14 players for Champions League is found in the CEV Volleyball Competitions Regulations, section 21.2 on page 22. The document is dated 3. March 2026.
But my main point, which has always been on my mind, is: Why would Suhl say they have to increase their squad from 12 to 14 players because of the Champions League, if they could also play with 12? Because then it would be a voluntary decision, not a necessary one. But we'll see what the future holds.
Thanks.
That's interesting, A. Mantlik exaktly said they have to sign 2 more players because of regulations. May they worry about injures and don't want to risk something.
i would just say, fuck the professional team that don't have 14 players
Nice choise of words and much disrespect for every person that works in a small club to develop and get the club bigger and can't waving money around.
Another thing, the schedule is there.
I don't think that Suhl says they have to sign 2 more players to play CL just for fun. If it wouldn't be necessary Suhl wouldn't enlarge the roster.
I could imagine it's like Matthias said there is a financial fine if you don't have enough players registered.
It's very frustrating to find actual documents about terms to play CL. Everything i found was from 2020.
22 years old Austrian Maja Nöhrer (OH) from Northwest Missouri State University to Skurios Volleys Borken.
Don't know if it's correct to say Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt pulled up Zoe Jichová as second setter but last season she was already part of the first team.
It's nice that Erfurt gives her the chance to grow.
It happened yesterday. https://www.facebook.com/photo…&set=pcb.1310642154582001
Do i see that right? Is she falling over her own foot? Her new Club will be very " enthusiastic " about that.
@AlphaVfB: Do you know if Laura Beger is in Kienbaum for the U23/Universiade training camp?
Yes she should be there.
In this paywalled article is written that her next course starts in june.
Bregoli's some substitutions are also questionable.
At moment you can substitute every player it will not change something the self confidence is gone on every single player.
The second game Germany giving away a 17:12 lead in second set.
The reception was really bad in the first two sets.
At the beginning it looked like no German player was aware that you have to give 100% no matter who is the opponent.
After all Ukraine deserved the win, they played 3 sets better than Germany. They had better solutions in deciding moments.
If anyone watched the match, what else stood out?
In the end the efficiency in attack was the big difference. Canada needed to much tries to score maybe because of good defense on german side.
Van Ryk was under good control and couldn't unfold her potential.
Second Set Germany lead 17:12 and give it away about 18:18 than 19:23.
In fourth set Guidetti said in his second timeout: ,,They (Germany) defending everything and we defending nothing.''
