I'd say Hodge not having been in the US gym much this year has more to do with the roster decision
They're re-assembling from various countries/pro-teams. It makes sense that the players called back will be those that have spent time together. WGCC is very quick -- not a lot of time to find new chemistry. I think the plan is to build on what they've started this season.

Well almost all of these players were together for Beijing 2008 and they failed big time so don't be so sure. What I'm positive about if they come together again is the new coaching and new behavior on court (remember how they always fight between themselves on court). i think one of the reasons why every one of them is so good individually is because they play with other players and there aren't any (many) teams where players fight like that... we'll see. I would like for them to be back

I've never understood what USA coaches like about Lichtman. To me, she is average in all elements and far too weak in attack for USA NT. Hodge certainly wasn't convincing at Club WCH, but Lichtman
I don't think she was picked instead of Megan. Maybe Hodge has some problem or maybe it's because she was never a part of this new USA program... hasn't trained with the girls at all.. maybe some other reason, but however I am almost certain that Karch did not just pick her before Megan
I now have a chance to watch Kazan-Tauron and Gamova really has mental problems. What is her problem.. I understand all kinds of 'greetings' when match is tight and there is a high level of excitement, but the match has only started a few minutes ago and they were leading by 4-5 points she blocked Skowronska and then she turned towards them and stood with her hand in the air.. Hodge didn't do well in WCCH in terms of attacking because she was put by Lang Ping as receiving opp but her passing has improved at least according to the stats. She finished 4th or 5th overall in passing. She's a quicker attacker than Kristin so I think Karch will try her first.
I'm not excited with Brazil's line up but I hope they do well.
I'm aware of her recent playing form so I know till now she is probably back in shape.. however she is not a better passer than Kristin so as much as I like her (Megan) I think she won't be a starter.. This USA team (2010-...) has been all about speed, middle attacks and combination plays,, they have better ball control so players like Kim Glass, Megan or Klineman won't fit 100%. Don't get me wrong Hodge is a great player, attacker especially. She has quality, she proved that many times (key player for USA versus China in 2012 Olympics), so we'll see what Karch will decide..

Hildebrand - Larson will be a much better option in terms of passing so Alisha can keep her fast setting. In fact I think Karch will go with this line-up since Hodge had a break all summer and was not very spectacular during WCCH
I don't know why coaches of this team want to continue with that 'all-asians' on court. As much as I like Onuma I think Kim is a far better option.. she is not such a bad receiver and is very powerful as we all know..

lmao SESI lost to Praia Clube and now Pri Daroit is THRASHING the referee live on TV because he actually got something right, she complained, SESI lost the third set and then she got a red card. Someone should calm her down because the referee was actually right and she just made a huge fool out of herself.

Leo usually serves very often the middles. She prefers playing with the one who hit the slide and not the one. Ozgenur in my opinion was better than the other middle that plays this year in GS (not Sinem Barut, I mean the other one, the #1)
With such a awful reception, Leo can't serve very much the middles....
#1 is Ergul. And Ergul is not a great MB, especially not blocker but she is a powerful hitter.. she proved that many times. It's not ll about reception there were situations when the pass was good and it could've been a middle set.. And also for bad reception you can set the slide and the middle set away from the setter.. you're other favorite Berg does that all the time and many times leaves the hitter on the left with no block.. so reception is not the cause of Leo not setting the MB

After every block, weather she did it or not she turns and screams at the player.. also i notice this match is very tensed, many players scream into others' faces, not directly like Obmochaeva but Gozde does it, Costagrande did it.. also Montano and Rabadzieva

I'm just wondering if we will see ANY MB attack from GS today...most of the time reception is too shaky for it, but even when she has the chance to use MB, Leo keeps setting to 4 and Vakif block says thank you.
