Brazil - Superliga 2012/2013

  • Well, in SESI's case I'm more worried about atmosphere in the team, 'cause I truly believe in a progress in their game (they don't really have tough opponents now). I would actually say, that this team is built from specific players with specific personalities. I mean quite explosive. We could see their anger in State Championships matches, when they started arguing with players of Medley and almost fighting. I hope there is no unclear things among the team and they just like each other or pretend, that they do. I've heard, that they will have some conversations together about consequences of such a bad game. But it's really not a time to talk about it. Nothing happened.

Yes, I also didn't expect a victory of Volei Futuro. I must admit, that it's one of my favourite Brazilian team and I'm trying to support them, when there is such a need, but before season there was so many different decisions about their existence that I stopped believe in some positive results during this season :( But it doesn't change the fact, that I'm always happy of their successful matches. But their next battle is against SESI...

No more words about Sada, just gorgeousness. They didn't change a lot and we don't really have to be worried about cooperations between each players. It's just a matter of time, when William Arjona's gonna find a good connection with Leal - it won't be tought, we know both players very well and their potentials, too.

I'm worried about it too, 'cause Murilo was so sad yesterday on twitter! Now we need to believe in a victory against Volei Futuro! IMO that's possible :)
Leal, Wallace and William are amazing players, can't wait to see them in a real battle, 'cause until now, Cruzeiro hadn't a lot of difficult games.

  • Tough match for Sada today! How they turned this match into the positive final result I'm not able to say. Personally I have supported Florianopolis after those two sets, when they were leading sensationally and really wanted them to win this match in three sets, but Sada is just a great team and never let go. I thought, that 4th set's gonna be the last, but I was really wrong.
Next time I see Wallace and Leal get the same number of balls from Arjona. That's really interesting, 'cause rarely. Anyway, and next time I see Leal as the best scorer! It's important for him to be more confident during the game, such a matches, when he seems to be a leader definitely help him to improve.

What's more, Sao Bernardo suprises again. Today they've smashed Medley/Campinas/a team, which did the same to my SESI in the middle of this week/, giving them just one set. I can even say this match was actually some kind of a battle between opposites - Rivaldo and Renan and luckily this second was better and more effective. Keep doing like that, youngster!

  • The hell, what a horrendous second set by SESI and Vôlei Futuro. What happened?
(It's nice to see Rapha playing better tonight though!)

    EDIT: Vôlei Futuro!! :obey:

    Results from today's matches:

    UFJF x Funvic/Midia Fone 1:3 (25/19, 17/25, 18/25, 20/25)
    MVP: Sergio? (Funvic; not sure)

    Medley/Campinas x São Bernardo 1:3 (18/25, 19/25, 25/17, 22/25)
    MVP: Paulo Renan (São Bernardo)

    Sada Cruzeiro x Super Imperatriz 3:2 (20/25, 22/25, 25/18, 30/28, 20/18]
    MVP: Yoandy Leal (Sada Cruzeiro)

    Volta Redonda x RJX 0:3 (21/25, 22/25, 12/25)
    MVP: Thiago Sens (RJX)

    Vôlei Futuro x SESI 3:1 (22/25, 25/20, 25/22, 25/23)
    MVP:
Ricardo (Vôlei Futuro). He was good, but it should've been Temponi or Raphael imo, or even Polaco, they were all amazing.

  • SESI :aww:

I feel something bad will happen there... Even I'm losing a patience, what about management?
I totally gave up this night, I have tried to stay alive and watch whole match, but desire of sleeping is stronger, than me. Personally I think it was a good decision to stop watching it, because I suppose I would lose whole my nerves during it. Anyway, quite disappointing performance, isn't it? I was really afraid of this battle, 'cause we all know how dangerous Futuro is, but I thought players of SESI just realized, that they should stop playing such a shit as in previous matches and win something, finally! Nothing new, I'm wrong again, should rather stop predicting and expecting

What the hell is going on with Lorena? I'm asking, 'cause I saw him playing last match against Medley, so where was he today? Seeing Wesz as opposite was really suprising for me.

  • 4th round:

Volta Redonda x Sada Cruzeiro 1:3
    (25:23, 16:25, 18:25, 20:25); best player: Wallace
    Funvic/Midia Fone x Vivo/Minas 2:3 (18:25, 25:22, 25:14, 18:25, 12:15); best player: Marcelinho
    SESI Sao Paulo x UFJF 3:0 (25:23, 25:21, 25:12); best player: Murilo

    Finally, SESI!

  • 5th round:
    Funvic/Midia Fone - Sada Cruzeiro 0:3 (17:25, 18:25, 21:25), MVP: Serginho
    Volta Redonda - Vivo/Minas 3:1 (34:32, 25:12, 24:26, 25:15), MVP: Giovanni
    Sao Bernardo Volei - UFJF 3:1 (27:29, 25:20, 25:18, 30:28 ), MVP: Ceara
    Super Imperatriz Volei - Medley/Campinas 0:3 (17:25, 18:25, 14:25), MVP: Radke
    Canoas - Volei Futuro 3:0 (25:21, 25:23. 25:18 ), MVP: Jotinha
    SESI Sao Paulo - RJX Rio de Janeiro 2:3 (22:25, 25:16, 25:20, 22:25, 12:15), MVP: Mario Jr.

SESI did much better job, but it's still not enough for winning matches against top teams. I suppose they really regret those all lost points in previous rounds, that should never happen. Against RJX, there was even a chance to win it, actually the first set was some kind of a key, 'cause SESI was leading there (but Alves made some aces and won a set for Rio). I expect victories in next battles, 'cause finally SESI playes with almost complete roster.

  • 6th Round:

    RJX x Vôlei Futuro 3:1 (19/25, 25/20, 25/23, 25/20) Stats: http://www.cbv.com.br/v1/superliga/estatisticas/p231M.pdf
    MVP: Riad (RJX)
Best scorer: Theo (RJX, 18 points)

I'm starting to get worried with VF. I know they have a weaker team this year and they're still trying out new stuff, but they've got to pull out another victory soon. Even SESI is ahead of them with one victory and game less. Thankfully next time they'll face a weaker team (UFJF) and have better chances to score 3 points and perhaps jump a position in the classification table.

Changes in the team include Rapha playing as OH and both Gui Hage and Michael starting out of the bench.

  • I didn't watch this match (it's definitely too late for me), but it seems Volei Futuro tried not to give up. I mean a score of each set shows how tight this match was. Paradoxically we should be satisfied of their perfomance, 'cause they have taken a set from RJX. Just SESI did the same, if I remember well.
Volei Futuro should focus on getting points from theoretically weaker teams. Of course, when there is a chance to take it from top teams they should use it.

  • Tecnicly RJX and Volei Futuro was not a very good match honestly...both teams made so many service errors!!!! :/ Really sometimes were like 5 erros in sequence..just anoying...but...Im glad slowly Dante is coming back! ^^

He is recovered already, but since the team is doing well, they are coming back with him slowly so he can get the right rhythm in the competition.

Today SESI and SADA promicaes to be a good match...but I think SADA has the advantage.

  • 7th round:
    UFJF - Vôlei Futuro 3:0 (25:18, 25:17, 25:21), MVP: Japa
    Sada Cruzeiro - Sao Bernardo 3:0 (25:21, 25:15, 25:22), MVP: Acacio
    Vivo/Minas - SESI 1:3 (17:25, 25:23, 20:25, 13:25), MVP: Sidao
    Medley/Campinas - RJX 3:2 (18:25, 29:27, 21:25, 26:24, 15:11), MVP: Rivaldo
    Volta Redonda - Canoas 1:3 (20:25, 25:23, 18:25, 14:25), MVP: Gustavo

Unfortunately, I didn't watch a match between Vivo and SESI, even, that I've tried to find a live stream, but unsuccessfully. I regret really much, 'cause Sidao seemed to has fantastic perfromance today/his personal statistics show that perfectly/. He wasn't the best scorer, actually Cleber gets such a distinction, but in this year Superliga just Lucas from RJX usually is the best pointer of his all teammates.

  • 8th round:

    Medley/Campinas - Volta Redonda 3:2 (25:20, 25:20, 22:25, 20:25, 15:12)
    SESI SP - Canoas 3:0 (25:22, 25:22, 27:25)
    UFJF - Sada Cruzeiro 0:3 (19:25, 18:25, 20:25)
    Volei Futuro - Funvic/Midia Fone 3:1 (25:22, 25:21, 26:28, 28:26)
    Super Imperatiz Volei - Sao Bernardo Volei 3:2 (35:33, 21:25, 22:25, 25:23, 15:12)
    RJX - Vivo/Minas 3:1 (25:22, 25:18, 21:25, 25:20)

    9th round:

    Volei Futuro -Volta Redonda 3:1 (25:16, 21:25, 25:18, 25:20)
    UFJF - Vivo/Minas 1:3 (25:23, 19:25, 14:25, 23:25)
    RJX
    - Sada Cruzeiro Volei 3:2 (22:25, 25:22, 27:29, 25:20, 15:8 ) - I'm looking forward a repeat from this match :obey:
