    • AO Thiras used 6 bench players (they dont have 4th MB 😂) because next week are going to play two important games (against Dresdner and Olympiakos)

    • Agost and Amaral deserve to play in better teams (maybe Panathinaikos or PAOK)

    • AO Thiras wants to host the final 4 of the greek cup (2nd time in the last 3 years) but there are negative reactions from Olympiakos.

  • Tommorow is the most important match of the regular season between Olympiakos and AO Thiras

Branko Kovacevic (coach of Olympiakos): Definitely at this moment these are the best teams of the league, but as i always say, in the second round our team is in a good shape. We want the win in order to take the 1st place in the regular season.

  • Best attackers (OH)

    1. Agost 45,9%

  • Olympiakos - AO Thiras

AO Thiras was leading 19-11 in the first set but Olympiakos won it 25-23

In the second set AO Thiras was leading 12-8 and after that Olympiakos made a party 25-16

    AO Thiras won the 3rd set 20-15, 24-18, 25-21

Olympiakos took without problems the last set 25-16

AO Thiras played 5 sets in Germany and they had to travel but i dont think that this is the main problem. They dont react good in the important parts of the sets and their one oh (merteki) doesnt help very much in reception+attack.

  • OR they could stay in their relative teams and with proper player additions improve them for shots on the championship.

Aris for instance would be in a far greater position if they didn't have the misshap with Richey and her husband, coming or coming not serial. Unprofessional behaviour in my opinion. Paok was in the A2 league last year. Never been established in women's volleyball. Panathinaikos, though an established name, focused in other sports in recent years and only this year trying to re-invent themselves. Good team material nevertheless, but low budget(I think they didn't get more foreign players due to that, though officially the reason was "To focus on Greek players").

If they have to be leeched to improve other teams, a practice to which I'm opposed, they might have better chances with Olympiakos who is the current champ and has the better team(which took a long time to properly build) or AO Theras who has been a contender in recent years. Aris, for the record was THAT close from winning the championship 2 years ago. Much more established team name in women's voleyball to Paok. But their manager seems to either hit bullseye, or suck balls. Might also have to do with sending most of the best players he manages to foreign teams or Athens. Not the best choise potentially to manage a team that would like to get a championship and isn't from Athens.

Since I'm also writing this for people in this thread interested in Agost's career:

    Elysiakos - Aris result : 0-3 (15-25, 23-25, 13-25)

    Elysiakos Α.Ο. (Coach Rousis): Merkouri 4 (1/2 att., 3 aces), Mpempi 8 (7/17 att., 1 aces), Papageorgiou 11 (8/16 att., 1 aces, 2 blocks), Papadede 2 (0/5 att., 1 aces, 1 block, 48% recept.), Sante 3 (2/2 att., 1 aces), Hatzikostanta 7 (7/25 att., 36% rec.) / Maniatogianni (50% rec.), Vasilantonaki 1 (1/5 att.), Mihelakou 1 (0/4 att., 1 block), Nikolichea 1 (1/6 att., 50% rec.), Pavlea, Portovara 1 (1 aces).

    S.C. Aris (Coach Tsairelis): Agost 8 (7/15 att., 1 aces, 54% rec.), Kioutsouki 7 (4/5 att., 3 aces), Konstantinidou 5 (2/3 att., 2 aces, 1 block), Simic 13 (9/22 att., 4 aces), Tsompanidou 1 (1 block), Fairs 15 (13/25 att., 1 aces, 1 block, 50% rec.) / Iakovidou (48% rec.), Petrinoli (50% rec.), Mylona 1 (0/5 att., 1 aces, 33% rec.), Pitta 7 (2/5 att., 2 aces, 3 blocks).

Overall and since Hocaoglou was replaced by Erin Fairs, looks like Aris has a better game and is less dependant on Agost who as a result is probably in better energy levels for more crucial games(like the cup ones perhaps, if they don't make it to final-4 championship). Also Simic plays better since. Maybe a bit too late for Aris though? Currently in 6th place. One wonders if Simic played well since the start and Fairs had the time to adjust better, maybe we'd be talking about a "different team Aris" and therefore more chances for Taylor to excel.

  • 2 teams (Pannaxiakos and Aris) lost all the foreign players they had.

Pannaxiakos: Dessa Legros and Ellen Amaral were injured. The team couldnt achieve something nice so the 3rd foreigner left the team (Millen) and went to France/Beziers

The foreign players of Aris (Agost, Fairs, Simic) left the club due to coronavirus situation and the travel ban of Trump.

  • Lazarevic, Potokar, Kaczorowksa, Carolina, Erzen, Reid left greece

AO Thiras is the only team that has managed to keep all the players.

Potokar will be back if the league is not cancelled.
