Brazil and Turkey are the biggest candidates for final match in YWCH this year. But we cannot forget Italy, Serbia and China, always strong teams...

looks like we all forgot one team which looks like machine with those resuts:

    China 0–3 Japan 21–25 20–25 14–25
    Japan 3–0 Thailand 25–14 25–17 25–15

Finals and semis of asian youth champs   :cheesy:

and ATM Italy is looking like they will be trashed as china (bolded teams) and thais too... Japs leading 2-0 and 14-10 :what: :mirror:

Rather unbelievanble finish of the game, lets say 2-2 was real score, in all 4 sets teams used their advantages and then came 5th set, argentina having 8-6,whoole momentum and match control. change of sides and then setter did harakiri for his team, having attack for 9-6, MB did mistake and in next point he set to this same MB ball :white: :rolll: :rolll: :rolll: :rolll: , then he collapsed, 9-12 just logic outcome, and not a single nice set until end of the match. Pity, it is not sportive manner to blame one guy, but he took the world championships title from his team and now they must congrat to russians...

Japan won the match, thanks to Dekita and his 47 points !!!
I love this kind of match when a team is close to win the match then stop to play ! And there are many like that ! :rolll:

no one like bulgaria, this generation is now gone, twice the same thing, impressive :obey: :obey: :obey: :obey:

I'm watching match Bulgaria-Japan, bulgarians dominating, 25-20 then 25-20, and then 24-21!!!! in 3rd and----- 31-33 :rolll: :rolll: :rolll: :rolll: :sos: :sos: :sos: nuclear meldown...

then suddenly my memory appeared and found:

    08.04.2009 20:00 THE NETHERLANDS BULGARIA 3 : 2 20:25 19:25 26:24 25:23 15:13

Bulgaria had 23-20 in that set no3, how history is repeating, and i must congrat bulgarian staff cause their kids (identical lineup!!!) remained mentally handicapped 2.5 years after that event :read: :teach:

Well - it is not common and usual to see India beats some other team in any sports (except field hockey or cricket :D ). Good for Indians :)

India here defending 4th place from last junior wc, so it is quite usual for them to beat opponents on this level, escpecially if "secret" is known they play with 25yo players :rolll: :whistling:

I don't know the level of the Brazilian team, but USA is definitely among the title contenders and will make Brazil sweat a lot. Bulgaria, on the other side, needs a good game tomorrow against Japan and maybe a miracle versus the hosts on Wednesday.

Highlighting Brazil is wrong, maybe worst generation in many many years, 9th on youth wc, here won't be much higher...

russia, serbia, argentina, all 3 asian teams (especially iran and veterans of india    ), probably also usa and maybe even spain - all are much better than brazil so they will have tough time even to enter 2nd stage... asian volley will have again one great tournament in this age, so champion of Asia Japan beating this Brazil isnt so big deal as it could sound like...

I've never watched her, but her results are not that great....she and her partner are about 3rd-4th team in Germany. I wish she had stayed indoor!

Maybe last season but this season they are likely 5th or maybe 6th best german couple since there is many new prospects coming and they are even now better than Brink and Gruen

Especially thinking about Kohler/Sude and Borger/Buthe with old confirmed couples like Goller/Ludwig, Holtwick/Semmler and Banck/Gunther...

    And it was free-entrance

it is FIVB rule to have free-entrance all the time ;) only event on which you have to pay to watch beach volley is Olympic games, and it seems like all tickets are already gone for London

what amazes me every time is how Skarlund and Spinnagr can't play significant role anywhere and then comes Stavanger and they transform into monsters :rolll: :rolll: :rolll: :rolll:

last season finals out of nowhere, this season semifinals with beating world champions in quaters :D :D :D

24 teams entered each gender main draw, and at the end polish youth players took double gold, continuting tradition, especially in mens competiton, new champions following Kadziola/Szalankiewicz and Kantor/Losiak, world youth champions from same country. They have big crew behind them, scouting, preparing and this approach brought excellent results. Most impressive player is Norway huge 202cm blocker Takvam, IMO he is destined to be big player in future.

Canadian team continued latest excellent results of their young players on world championships...With finals, maybe best game of tournament was their 1/4finals vs excellent austrian couple Petutschning/Winter. 4-5 teams deserved to win here, Polish had best of luck/skills and won it...

Poland women team didnt have so much problems in tournament, although they lost to Lithuanian team in group phase. Very convincing wins in knockout round, and 100%deserved gold. Very interesting players, solid teams and bright future for this sport...

rather incredible for woman to have 30 pts in 3 sets  :cheesy:   8| 8| 8| 8| 8|

i think not many man playing vs women can have such stats, simply beyond understandable :white:

    Semi-finals

    Ross/Kessy - Keizer/Van Iersel 0-2 (15-21,18-21)
    Goller/Ludwig - Cicolari/Menegatti 1-2 (24-26,21-19,11-15)

incredible improvement of italian duo, like yesterday i remember them playing CEV satellite in Zagreb 2-3 years ago and now girls are in FIVB world tour final :obey: . excellent job for italian crew, some brasilian coaches in staff i think.... also marta menegatti could become new miss of beach volley world :mirror:

    :rolll: :call: :sos: :what:

NCAA Champion Ohio St. OH #8 John Klanac has huuuuuge croatian emblem tattooed on his left shoulder :D must say never saw something even here in Croatia, not to mention in USA 8o  :cheesy:

Thank you,Raul...I am not expecting any big transfer,to be honest, just wanted to know who can I expect in NT after years of marasm in croatian volleyball.Realy looking forward to see Croatian NT in European league.Could you give me some websites where I can find bit more infos about croatian volleyball,or just post NT rooster?Reading sportnet, vecernji, sportske novosti almost everyday but it seems, that I can much more information about croatian rugby than volleyball.I am from Kosice in Slovakia,so might see your (and mine as well as a fan of ex-yugo sport) NT in Final 4 in July;-)

You see, it is easier to find video of cuban volley league :D 8o than about croatian volley, here is catastrophic situation about volley. As i know list is:

    Setters: Krnić, Žukovski and Marelić,
    Opposites: Omrčen, Ćuk and Demirović
OH: Kovačević, Peterlin, D. Nojić and Žanić,
MB: Vulin, Sabljak, Colić, Zelić and Mihalj,
"universal players": Galić, Raič, Šuker, Močić and Andrić
liberos: Ž. Nojić, Šarčević, Fehir and Tropan

Omrcen surely won't play EL since he is on rest now and then going in Qatar... Galic is still in Cuneo, waiting big finals and v-day sunday...NT is on preparation in Daruvar, and as i know from this list D.Nojic and Tropan are out but it is so hard to find anything official. Will post here any new info...

Are there any young players worth to follow, like last year members Raic,Galic,Zhukouski?Maybe Mihalj,Damjanovic,or libero?

Mihalj, after claiming best spiker of challenge cup final 4 last season, lost his position in starting 6 so he was on bench most of the time. Damjanovic improved a lot, but still not on level of Raic/Galic of last season. Libero Sarcevic is rewarded with NT call which is big satisfaction for him and excellent season. Also both MB's are in NT right now (Sabljak and Colic). We will hardly see some big transfer like with golden trio last season, something like that isnt going to repeat so often, especially not from croatia....
