what about liu yanan and yang hao? is there any chance for them to come back to the Chinese NT? i really hated Chen Zhonghe back in 2008 when he decided to just put yanan liu on the bench. yes Ma Yunwen has the power in terms of attacking, but that's the only thing she got. she can't even dig and defend on the back row like Yanan Liu does. As for Yang Hao, i'll always believe that she is way better than Li Juan. but how was she playing today?

    Here are my choices:

that's good. from the very start i really do not like the idea of having Tai Aguero in the Italian team. she will always be a "Cuban" for me. its also good that Mirka Francia declined the offer...

they should hold this tournament in Brazil or perhaps in Europe. so that Japan won't even qualify (that is, if they win the Asian title). Even in the 2007 World Cup, i was surpirsed that the FIVB didn't even pick Russia as a Wildcard contender, when in fact during that time they are the reigning World Champions, same with Netherlands who won the 2007 World Grand Prix. what are their criterias for picking a Wildcard contender/s anyway?...

i would prefer Morozova or Tyurina...maybe they are playing better than Kabeshova,Kryuchkova and Starbudova heheh

Morozova and Tyurina are way too old for the National team. and its a good thing that Russia has been giving way for young players...they cannot rely with the veterans forever.

is Sokolova coming back to the Russian team? i noticed that her name was still included in the Russian line up from cev.lu. oh please bring back Svetlana Kryuchkova!!!

^^agree. i really don't understand why the FIVB keeps on picking Korea to participate in this tournament. when in fact there are a lot of stronger teams like Russia, Netherlands, Cuba, etc. who could make this tournament more exciting and fun to watch. their Wildcard selection really sucks!!! i bet this is just going to be a tight battle between Brazil and Italy.

true. how i wish China could bring back veterans like Yang Hao, Liu Yanan, Zhang Na, and Ruirui Zhao. if they really wanted to have a very young team, what is Li Juan doing there? i do not know why but im already starting to hate the new coach of the Chinese team. Like Caprara of Russia, he wanted to change the style of Chinese women's volleyball. whereas Chinese quick plays were always one of the main reasons why a lot of teams (including Brazil and Russia) find it hard to play against them. then suddenly this Cai Bin guy has been adopting the American and European style of volley? weird. anyway, its just my opinion.
