You guys do know FIVB don't you?? They care for nothing but money, for them it doesn't matter who is European/World/Olympic champion, money is what matters. When they give a wild card, why do they give it to the European champion (the OLD European champion who has yet to defend its title) and not the World champion? Sorry but you can forget these arguments, it's all about money in FIVB.

Money makes the world go round...and it looks like Polish federation has enough of it to enjoy FIVB privileges whereas other European teams don't...

If I were him I would leave Aguero, Lo Bianco and Barazza or Fiorin out...I think this decision of CEV is so totally idiotic!

Guidetti will take 13 players to Turkey, he has not yet decided which one will not play.
Setters: Weiss, Apitz
Opposites: Grün, Steffen
OHs: Bouagaa, Dumler, Kozuch, Brinker, Beier
MBs: Fürst, Ssuschke, Radzuweit
L: Tzscherlich -
I don't think Artamonova will play. The countries have to send a list of 22 players to CEV, so they just add some random names. E.g. in German roster there are 4 players who probably don't even know that their names are on the list :wink2:

3rd match, 3rd German victory 3:1 (23-25, 25-13, 25-18, 25-18 )
GER: Weiss, Grün (20), Brinker, Dumler, Fürst, Ssuschke, Tzscherlich (L); Bouagaa (14), Beier, Steffen, Apitz
SRB: Ognjenovic, Brakocevic, Nikolic (16), Molnar, Avramovic, Krsmanovic, Cebic (L), Simanic, Nesovic, Spasojevic.Terzic tried 3 players on opposite position today (Brakocevic, Nesovic, Spasojevic) and another one (Molnar) yesterday, so Djerisilo's absence is a real problem for Serbia.

Second match GER-SRB 3:0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-14)
GER: Weiss, Grün (17), Dumler, Brinker (11), Fürst, Radzuweit, Tzscherlich (L); Apitz, Steffen, Beier, Bouagaa
SRB: Simanic, Nesovic, Nikolic, Spasojevic (14), Citakovic, Avramovic, Cebic (L); Ognjenovic, Molnar, Vesovic, Krsmanovic -
So what does it say? Will Poland play in Ankara or not? And how many teams will qualify in Ankara, best four or best three plus Poland?

First match Germany vs Serbia 3:0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-22)
GER: Weiss, Grün (16), Dumler (13), Kozuch, Fürst, Ssuschke, Tzscherlich (L); Brinker, Beier
SRB: Ognjenovic, Brakocevic (11), Nikolic, Spasojevic, Citakovic, Krsmanovic, Cebic (L). -
Italy's defense was better :wink2: But Agüero alone is not enough to win.

The referees of Brazil-Russia were so incredibly bad!!! Three horribly wrong decisions in 5th set against Brazil!
-
Yes pleeaaase Kosheleva played a bit today, nice to see although Russia lost.

Here's one of me (of course with a ball in the hands )

Nope not all...they planned to show all matches on the first three days but they changed their schedule, looks like they cannot show Italy matches :?

Germany wins 3-0 (16,20,21) today.
GER: Weiss, Grün, Dumler (14), Kozuch (14), Fürst, Radzuweit, Tzscherlich (L); Ssuschke, Brinker
FRA: Salinas, Larnack (9), Turiaf, Schleck (12), Lozancic, Maculewicz, Rochelle (L); Faesch -
Really tough question...first of all I did not expect AT ALL to see four European teams in Final Round, especially not after the first weekend. Indeed everyone can beat everyone, I voted for Italy because they have the most solid and balanced team. Referees will do everything to prevent Brazil from winning ( ), Russia and China are too inconsistent, Poland might cause some surprises but I don't think they are already good enough to play five good matches in five days, and finally I think the Dutch team is the weakest of the six.

Quote from "Jo11"
I am very surprise about the results of the french team on this friendly matches against Germany.
Germany has serious chance of medal on the european championship and I am quite impress that france took already 3 sets from them. Before the match a tought that France would loose 3/0 each game playing without Ravva.I'm sorry to disappoint you but Guidetti is using these matches to find the 12 players for GPQ and ECH, so we don't always play with the best team :wink2: But I certainly agree that France will be very strong with Salinas, Ravva, Maculewicz, Lozancic etc.

Germany wins 2nd match vs France 3:2 (25:18, 22:25, 25:17, 18:25, 18:16). Grün did not play, Bouagaa was best German player. More details later.
EDIT:
Germany: Weiss, Steffen (17 pts), Bouagaa (22), Kozuch, Ssuschke, Radzuweit, Tzscherlich (L); Apitz, Gollan
France: Salinas, Larnack, Turiaf (16), Schleck (17), Lozancic, Maculewicz, Rochelle (L); Faesch, Querard -
I agree with Celso, I've also seen exceptionally many referee mistakes in this tournament! Yesterday in BRA-DOM Thaisa Menezes stood at the net when her team served and held the hands up like all players do, then the reception of DOM flew into the net and the ball touched Thaisa's hands through the net (she did not play the ball actively, just held her hands up and this is perfectly allowed), and the referee gave the point to DOM. I thought it was scandalous and there were also a lot of wrong line decisions.
Another thing I have seen, referees are very inconsequent with ball handling calls. There were so many balls in this tournament which in my opinion were clear errors but the referees did not call them and other balls which might have been a little incorrectly played but still ok were called.Marina Akulova's injury looked really painful but the way it happened was very untypical, she slipped on a wet spot and twisted her ankle inwards :?
Xue Ming scored 12 block points against NED
