Not taking away any of Lazovic's merits, but why would the European champion consider a 19 yo kid based on a single game? At least Górecka showed potential throughout the entire season.

That is not based on one good game.

She is the leader of former Serbian champion Vizura for 2 years. Club whom finds and make player as Boskovic, Busa, Aleksic, Mirkovic......She played CEV champion league in 2015 when she have only 16 and now she is 19 yo kid but in a year or 2 she will be new Serbian star.

But Novara has also Di Iulio and Górecka who's also 19 y.o like Lazović and really often compared to Britt Herbots.

I don't know who is Gorecka and how she is playing(good attacker or good receiver or all around playes with both skills). I do not dosrecpect Gorecka just say that i do not know her and i do not know what i can excpect form her. On the other hand Di Iulio do not change my opinio about Novara exigency one good attacker on OH position. Non related specially to Lazovic( just my wish)Novara need better attacker than Chiara, Elitsa and Megan.

Not many such player remain in the game and Novara must hurry up.

I am little cheerful, but i think AGIL Novara could consider Katarina Lazovic. After these games in Italy, i would not be suprise that an italian club is engaging her. She is very young(not too expensive probably), very promising, incredible potential in attack, very stable on service, quite solid on reception and only block creaking due to height but she is only 19. I di not accidentally mention Novara. They are certainly mot satisfied with the dup Vasileva-Courtney(not yet official) because Vasileva is not in good shape a few years ago, on the other hand Megan playing as libero in USA nt and she is not great attacker, simply that is not a duo for European champion( especially because departure of Egonu, Brakocevic is great but she can not go all the way). So my sincere opinion is that the Novara-Lazovic contract would be a great move from both sides.

So Brakocevic will play for Novara as Italian? Does that mean she can`t play for Serbia anymore?

I think she will can play for Serbian National team again unrelated to play in Novara as italian. On the other hand IMO it is unlikely that she will want to rejoin the nation team again.

    Rules about nationality by fivb:

I did not read entire text so i did not find anything that could help us accurately know if she will be able to play again for Serbia or not.

    What happened with Nataša Čikiriz?

She was a good prospect years ago... isn’t she NT material?

    :sos:

She was a good prospect but she did not improve her skills. She is so slow and that is her bad side height and strength are good side. She played last year for OK Tent from Obrenovac and again she did not show much more than previous year.

But Lazovic...., she is burning and she did not show a half of skills yet.

I dont see her in first team alongside with Mihajlovic because she is still poor on reception but in feature Bošković-Milenković-Lazović-Aleksic they will lead Serbian NT.

It seems to me that Mirkovic is on the right track, it's a pretty changeable view of her game and her future, but for example, I did not have a very high opinion of Zivkovic, but since 2017 she showed her value.

Interesting choice that they chose to play abroad during the Olympic year, esp considering the fact that Turkish league is kinda long. Have any Brazilian players do this before?

Actually, a whole start seven played abroad in 2007/2008 before Beijing excluding Paula, Fabi and Fabiana. Jaque, Fofao and Walewska played for Group Murcia 2002, on the other hand Mari and Sheilla played for Scavolini.

Whether the correct information is related to the number of players who must be at the weekend in the team and played in the World Championship (i think that number is 6). This information appeared on the forum, but I can not find a confirmation, and as far as I am concerned, the USA currently has only 3 players who played at the World Championship. I apologize if you have written about this before. I could not find answer. It's hard for me to believe that such a rule exists, because what is with the teams that have not played on the World Championship, and it is also hypothetical that if more than eight players after the World Championship retire or simply do not want to play for the national team any more. How to make them.

Lozo as OPP?... I wish Lazovic was there instead in this case.

I guess Milenkovic is not ready to play yet. Hopefully she can play at the World Cup.

I'm excited to see how Mirkovic will do. But what really matters here is gaining experience as I would assume Maja,Zivkovic and Ana will all retire from the NT after Tokyo.

Lozo played as opp in one season in Vizura and she is being very solid. I believe that Lazovic will have chance in the next 4 weeks to show the whole world what she knows.

Apparently, Milenkovic is not yet in shape, but she will certainly play at WC and she will play even the 3,4 weekend of the nation's league.

And yes it is sad but Maja, Zivkovic will retire probably after European Champ 2021 because they will held in Belgrade and it is so important to find a good substitutiton for main setter.

Have not yet officially published but Terzic said it would be the best possible

team in that moment so i guess that the team will be this:

    S: Mirkovic, Antanasijevic

    Opp:Boskovic, Bjelica

    OH: Mihajlovic, Blagojevic, Busa, Milenkovic

    MB:Veljkovic, Savic, Popovic, Aleksic*

    L: Pusic*, M.Popovic

Pušic and Aleksić are finished their club season a few days ago and i do not know are they already training with nt

but sam story with Veljkovic so Terzic said that she will play.

Before 3 days Bosha posted on her instagram photo with Jovana, Malešević and Brankica. Look like everything is normal and it is strange to me how Terzic does not have any information or feedback from her given the close proximity of the teammates

Oh ok, then I'm sorry, my mistake, i wasn't remembering correctly, still I don't think that it takes away from her overall perfomance, at the WCH or overall. And just to be clear I don't think she's the best MB or even in the top 5 right now, probably the best in her age range, but that wasn't even the point of my comment.

No bad vibes, i just want to outline the facts, but i also want to make it clear that i think Danesi is an excellent player, but not the best one or in top 5.

Just out of curiosity: why just one very good season it's not enough to say Danesi it's one of the best blockers, but half a good season it's enough for Mayani?

Edit: and also, it's not the first good season of Danesi. She had great seasons in the past few years, and she also was the best blocker of the last World Championship.

She wasn't the best blocker of FIVB WCH 2018. Statisticly Ni Yan was the best blocker in general, after her by blocks is Dannesi but in general definitely Rasic.

It would be better for them to keep Boskovic, Meliha , Larson and sign with Ognjenovic again. I feel like Lloyd is not their cure.

they played with this team in the 2017/18 season and they did it very well. They have exactly lost the final series, but I think that it is the biggest mistake Eczacibasi that there is no patience to make the team but buy new and new players and throw money into the garbage.

I am honoring my opinion, but I really think that Dannes can in no way be the top 5 middle blocker in the world and even less that it will sometimes be the best. An excellent player is perhaps the best Italian blocker at the moment, but not the world's best. (Ni Yan, Yuan Xinyue, Rasic, Veljkovic, Akinradewo, Eda Erdem, Koroleva, Heyrman, Adams, Gibbmeyer, Bia, Carol, and several other Brazilian veterans are IMO always better than Dannesi). And please do not compare Boseti with Enright, Megan and Malesevic, those player definetly does not be a good substitution for Boseti. Boseti is much better player than those players.

Of course she's not playing very fast with these teams, that would make no sense. Though she does play a lot with the MBs in Moscow.

Watch her for Piacenza in 2015-16 season, she plays very fast. She can really play any style, it just depends what the team needs.

Maja is simply phenomenal setter, It does not matter what kind of balls match the player, higher, lower, faster, slower. It is unbelievable to watch how she plays with balls that lead the middle-blockers, but decisiveness, calm and indomitable estimation of the situation makes her IMO the best setter in the world right now.

Although I understand the decision, I'm pretty sad, and I'm still hoping that I may watch this golden generation live (as long as the official list of players that will play the first weekend does not publish on the association's website).Although it is by no means clear to me that Maja and Milena do not play even that first weekend, and that Stefana stays on the list, although it is really hard to expect that she will play 3 days after the final round of clay, and I do not see the need for her playing for the next four weekends.

Tijana is young and not so many years in the national team, so her playing is not surprising so obviously her game size and desire is so great that she wins all the tears, Brankica also had time to break since the season in Japan ended in late March, but Stefana .....The tickets have already been bought, I will not flood, even if the youngest set is on the court.
