I hope the Brazilian team will play in the semifinals, they are much eager and working pretty hard to get there incl. the animated coach, Ze... amidst all the hardships and limitation they're still displaying the vigor and extra passion for this sport!

I have confidence that the host will field the necessary line-up to not give the free pass to the Dutch team... moreover three teams from Europe in the semi are simply too many... rather not healthy for the women's volleyball development :P :D

I wonder what would happen later.

Brazil played so good in the first half of set 1, but I had no idea what happened after then... I expected a close match... but this only happened at the last moments...
Serbia vs USA match was like another version of semifinal of Rio 2016 tho.

I would rather Dani Lins to retire and give place for Roberta.
BRA needs to give young players more chance, but not try to win every single title with senior experienced players.

Other players can't be added to the Grand Prix wide list as it is already official on their website...but maybe the rule does not exist anymore. I remember some years ago Russia was even punished for not using players from the previous year.

that's true. we can only expect their return in the World Championship next year.
as long as I know, Kim Hill and Jordan Larson and Kelsey Robinson will return to NT. unfortunately Karsta Lowe retired at such a young age....

I think one of the reasons YUAN stood out for me is that she had more focus on offense without Zhang around and Zhu playing limited minutes in this WGP? The other Middles who stood out for me were BRA and DOM. The MB for DOM seemed like she was involved in every play. I may be guilty of confusing camera time with skill, especially as the camera trains on players who make the mistake as well as the kill. But I didn't see YUAN making a lot of mistakes. She seems extremely quick and fluid on attack for someone that big. I think she's a top 5 at least in this tournament, which isn't "far from the world top".

What MBs would you give the award to at this point in the tournament?

To me, she is good MB but not top. some top MBs didn't attend this tournament, but still some MBs from Serbia, Brazil, Russia and even Netherland are much better than her.
How could you find she is extremely quick? compare with who? Kübra Akman?

    Hi guys!

Do you know what happened to Li jingjing? I thought she would have been a starter in the prel-phase.. Instead, Li Jing Wang Yunlu proved once again that they are not suited for this level.

And what about Zhang Changning? Has she recovered?

not familiar with above names except Zhang C N.
I wander if Zhang C N could be the key person to help the current squad of China NT get on the podium.

According to the Chinese news, Hui Ruo-qi and Diao Lin-yu has arrived in Changshu.
However, whether they will take part in the match of Jiangsu against Serbian NT is still unknown.

would there be any live stream for this friendly match?

HUI Ruo-qi won't join this WGP squad... she is not even listed in the CHN Wide-Roster list for the 2017 WGP (covering the Final Six as well). It's ZHANG Chang-ning who may possibly join the team, and she's in that list.

WGP is not a big deal, some of the top players are not in the list of their national team either.
I will looking forward for her return to world championship next year tho...
