dream, langping uses her position to do many false ads.those are false productis and hurt many people. i admit she achieved a lot in volleyball, but she is a normal person .just wait someday she deserves real punishment.

I really don't get your hatred towards her.

If you are talking about her commercial endorsement deals, the quality of the products have nothing to do with her, do they?

If anything, she's a victim as well.

    I totally agree.

What she does off court is her own business. She could have earned way more money from the job that she refused and eventually taken by Mazantti after the Rio Olympics. Her competence does not need anymore proof. The only reason why she still remains in her position is purely out of her passion and respect for the legacy created by herself together with the CHN NT in the 1980s.

We can discuss volleyball however we want as fans, but when it comes to their personal life, I don't think anyone has a say in it at all. That's the very basic decency.

For Turkey, you are right but for Poland, given the fact that their main players haven’t played altogether yet, their chances are pretty up. For Turkey, things are a bit different. All players must be in their best form, best day, they have to fight and fight until the last ball and force their opponent to error. I wouldn’t want them beat China, I think they should keep their chance of surprising China to Olympic Qualifications, if they have that one chance.

also for Turkey, Guidetti needs to keep his temper under control as well, if he wants his team to win 8o

How many times have we seen his players having to calm him down, either in Vakifbank or Turkey NT?

I expect Poland to surprise us. They have been pretty well and Brazil could suffer a defeat against them. Even USA. Hope this would happen and we could see them in the semi finals which could make things interesting and exciting. Wolosz came back, they have been suffering from their setters so it will be nice but don’t expect a magic from her since this is Poland, not Imoco.

I would enjoy a major upset like that too, say if Poland beats USA or Brazil.

In fact, if Turkey does something similar to China or Itlaly, then indeed Turkey and Poland together could create some major turbulence in the nation's league.

However realistically speaking, if we have A teams from USA, Italy, China and Brazil, the chances for Turkey and Poland are pretty slim I must say.

So Do We know how will pools look like ??

Tur, Ita, Chn and USA, Pol, Bra ??

    This is official or ?

If they all send their A teams, it's likely to be Italy, China, USA and Brasil in the semi-finals.

Then anything could happen after that. Really looking forward to seeing clashes such as Italy-China, USA-Brasil, China-USA, Italy-USA!!! It's gonna be an epic week of volleyball!!!

I only remember our youth national team with 1990 generation played this 4-2 system and they received silver medal back then. It was fun to see Naz Aydemir and Asuman Karakoyun attacking  but I think the idea was to make use of Naz as many different way possible since she was such a dominant player compared to her peers. And we didn't have a good opposite at that generation (we still don't have any, look how polen and gozde yılmaz ended up :aww: ) In that tournament, Busra cansu also played as outside hitter and she was pretty good at it indeed

I think GS could have play that system last year, since Neslihan can play as setter and nursevil can play as opposite. Of course I don't mean that they would have been more successful with this system but I'm sure it could have been pleasure to watch. Especially Neslihan as setter :rose:

Shame Neslihan retired. For some reason I just love to watch setters attacking and opposites setting.

Some Chinese fans have been talking about a similar system with the current Chinese NT. Ding Xia has already proved many times to be an attacking setter, not so much in the NT though because she didn't need to. in the last season in the Chinese league, she scored 9 points in one match and gained the nickname Opposite Ding. at the same time, Opposite Gong Xiangyu was actually a setter until 2015 when she was still in the U19 NT. Fans have been talking about the possibility of a 4-2 system with Ding Xia and Gong Xiangyu as the two setters.

Finished the BRA v CHN Bronze match and really enjoyed it. It was a lot of out of system playing around, my favorite kind. More overpasses in the match than usual, even a few doubles. I was surprised Brazil played Gabiru as libero to "shore up the passing" when I thought we all agreed Suelen had a great tournament. Another foot pass from Gabi :cheesy:

Shades of Xu Yunli in Hu Mingyuan in attack. Quick and powerful. She was a big help to the experimental lineup of youngsters Zhu Ting, Yan Ni, Lin Li, Ding Xia, and Gong. The most promising thing about Li YY is her ability to hit an out of system ball with force. Once she loses her baby fat she could be as scary as Zhu. She doesn't seem quite as athletic yet.

Indeed. Hu Mingyuan was a lucky girl. She wasn't even in the roster for the final but Wang Yuanyuan got injured in training last minute so Hu was brought in, obviously mainly as a bench. Again Yuan Xinyue got her finger injured and Hu got the chance to be substituted in. She really seized the moment and played the match of her life so far. She proved to be an excellent quick slide attacker and it really added to the variety of Chinese attacking strategies and drew a lot of attention from the opponent's MBs, thus making life a bit easier for Zhu Ting and Li Yingying on the left wing. She wasn't considered to be very competitive because of the disadvantage in her height (186cm) compared against Gao Yi(193cm) and Wang Yuanyuan(195cm) but now things are different. She is still in the training camp and is very likely to improve even more in the next few months. I hope she can make it into the WCH.

Saori Sakoda also retired last year. She was the Neriman-like high flyer. Not as big and strong but better at defense (non-receiving-but super scrappy on floor defense, and she used to rotate into MB position because she could jump real high)

hmm I don't think that was the reason for her to rotate into MB position. after 2012,coach Manabe started his new strategy MB1 for the Japan team. so basically they only had 1 MB and an extra Opposite in their rotations. Saori Sakoda was that extra Opposite taking the position of an MB. when she was in the front row she would attack just like a normal opposite rather than an MB. this experiment lasted a few years and I don't think it was very successful based on the result of the team achieved but this sort of experimentation should be highly encouraged.

I remember them playing the 2012 Grand Prix against Serbia in Belrade, and the commentator kept talking how their system is old, and they should which to modern volleyball, that they have the talent, as if they were doing it because they had to.. to be honest it was a very successful system for them

speaking of which, are there still any club/national team anywhere in the world with a 4-2 system?

Zehra Güneş is such a delight to watch. She is full of passion and you can see that she is enjoying volleyball on court.

She is such a talented MB and quite lucky as well. At both club and NT level she plays and trains with world class players at such a young age.
No wonder she is progressing so well and so fast.

I don't think this is the real CHINA team playing. I am guessing Lang Ping is going to throw down the gauntlet on the final round.

I think this is the strongest roster China has at the moment. Zeng Chunlei has got an old knee injury and hasn't been training properly for a while. It's questionable what her state will be like.
Zhang Changning is still recovering from her surgery and maybe she will be in good form in time for WCH.
