This match works better than taking an Ambien...

You can't just discount the intangibles someone like Larson brings to a team. Her wealth of experience alone can be very beneficial for a young player finding her role within the team. She may not be the same player anymore but shes still a very important part of the USA core.
-
Sure, both teams are playing their bench but I dont think either team cares about "favorable" matchup (whatever that means) so playing to lose as a tactical move is not something I think either team would do. The US at least has been consistently rotating their bench every week so seeing this group against Brazil should not come as a surprised.
-
Gibby is off the roster list now too.
-
Turkey is playing with a lot of confidence right now and its insane how ordinary they're making DeGenarro and Egonu look like this game. Egonu needs to go Super Saiyan if they want to take at least a set from Turkey. They're offering little to no resistance against this very good Turkish team.

Poland is just so frustrating to watch sometimes. Even with a shotty defense I think they have the pieces to be world beaters. If they can only learn to stay on the course and maintain their level of competitiveness. They just seem to be lackadaisical a lot of times and give up on a lot of plays. It's a shame because they're a very likable team.
-
But how can they be ready when time out bell was ringing......
Cmon guys it's not high school volleyball some kind of organizational level is required at this stage.
The up ref blew the whistle almost at the same time. You play to the whistle and signal. The onus is on Poland, the receiving side, to make sure that they're ready and paying attention to the refs call.Rewatched it again. No bell rang, 2nd ref is not visible so I can't tell if signal was made.

Nicole Davis as a color commentator is a nice move by the fivb. I thought she did a pretty good job. Knowledgeable and engaging.
-
But how can you start the point when players are not on court?
It's not the referees job to make sure no player is lingering around when the game is going. No time out was called therefore it's the players job to make sure they're ready and paying attention to whats going on in the court.

Guys, could you please share some links? I finally understood why that live stream 365 does not work for me. It is blocked by our company network so I need another link when I’m at work.
Its probably going to be tricky for you because most of the streams originate from betting sites...slim chance you don't run into the same problem.

I don't know what it means but it looks like they updated the training block roster for the wnt and theres a couple of interesting changes. Along with Aiyana Whitney and Kelly Murphy, Carli Lloyd's name was also omitted.
-
Carli was not even in the gym since they returned from Russia. 😐 Anyway bringing Carlini and Poulter can only mean good things for the future of the national team. I still think Carli is ahead of Hancock and Poulter for 2020 and it seems like Carlini, for now has taken the driver seat.
-
So apparently the main reason why the USNT was forced to alternate their OH as their libero this week because...1. Courtney caught a bug while in China and was still recovering during the Russian leg. 2 Mary Lake lost her passport enroute to Ekatarinburg and was therefore refused/not allowed to enter Russia. They had to scramble and fly her back to the states according to Kelsey.
-
I hope they retire this cringe jingles for the next VNL. I cant..
-
Barchy is doing fine as a lib...surprisingly, but we're definitely missing her offense and terminal abilities.
-
Foecke right now kinda reminds me of Bartsch during her first outing with the senior NT. A bit timid and afraid to unleash and rip the ball like she could.
-
Murphy is the weakest OPP that USA's ever had. So it's not surprising at all.
Not going to debate the first part but I wouldn't say that it's not surprising considering how she was favored by Karch over the other OPPs for the longest time. I wonder what happened and if it's her decision...or did she get "THE" email after her WC performance.
-
is she the starting OPP now? there is another one, the brunette cross-eyed beauty, right? but it has been a loooong time since USA has a dominant OPP.
She has the reins for now. The plan was to let her and Lowe fight for that starting role and so far Annie is the better of the two. Kelly Murphy is not even in the gym right now. Im not sure if shes done with the national team but her usual jersey number,12, is now being worn by the new OPP Thompson. Chances are she is done.
-
So apparently Karch wants to give the OHs some receiving reps, but neither of the liberos are experienced enough so I'm kinda confused.. Maybe Lake is injured?
Mary Lake is not active on this roster for this round. Foecke replaced her for some reasons. Meanwhile Courtney was sick and probably still not at 100%. So you have Foecke who is just not there yet defensively and Larson who doesn't have the quickness anymore to be really effective for that role. So unfortunately their best option for now is their 2 other OH.
-
where do you guys get these replays? i can't find them.
The trick is to get the links while they're active. So if you're at work/school or can't part with your cushy pillow or watching another game you can comeback to it later. Replays are almost instantaneous and stays up for a couple days.
