I watched Gold league and after that Challenge cup few month ago and I was really disappointed, but now I'm pleasanty surprised because Croatia can catch set or two of strongest teams.
It's not even close to a medal, but there is some progress. A quarterfinal with a little luck would be ideal.

The referee decided to give a "replay" of the point since Popovic was injured in the middle of the rally. To be fair, Mihajlovic did not notice the injury and hit the ball out, so it could be called out but Croatians did not react to the decision anyway.

It was brazen theft....Mihajlovic finished the point and missed and after that saw that Popovic got injured.Croatian players and coach are guilty of this failure. In the 1990s in Croatia we had lionesses who won medals and gave lessons how to play volleyball both of them (Srbija, Turkey). Now, we have models on the field who care more about their physical appearance than how they play.

In 4th set it was 23:20 for Croatia before Popović injuried and Mihajlović sent ball to out when was Popović injuried.
Why Croatia didn't lead 24:20 in this moment, because it was out???
