There will be other lists coming this December including Nikkei and Yomiuri. It shouldn't be a surprise since they've been releasing these rankings and polls during Paris Olympics and only Yuki is part of it. No Ran. No Koga. No Nishida. Saori's earnings are also publicized through her agency.

can you provide a link, because I don’t see any articles on some of my normal Japanese pages that say anything like that
Yuki's fansites were the ones who posted it. Ohtani ranks 1st. Forbes Japan2024年12月号 [雑誌]

Saori ranks #17 in the 2024 Forbes Japan Most Marketable (Japanese) Celebrities
Yuki Ishikawa is 8th

This might be premature but I don't see anything special about Kitamado. We're talking this season only. At her best from what we've seen from her so far she's kind of reminiscent of early Mai Okumura back when coaches didn't think much of her. She's new-ish not to mention tall for Japanese standards so at this stage she should still be figuring things out but very lackluster for a supposed allrounder. Her timing is also almost off. I can't tell if it's an issue with the setter or attributed to her rookie starter pack

Attendance figures for last night
Denso - 666
NEC - 2632
Okayama - 703
PFU - 748
SAGA - 2391
Osaka - 1555
Seems worrying for opening weekend of the best league in the world
Tokyo Great Bears had 13K people in attendance which for them is a minimum so this is definitely worrying for the women's side

KYK fans worship the ground she walked on. unfortunately, superiority by seniority is a big thing in Korea.
she'd be a good addition to any team in clubs. what a waste.
KYK's achievements > that twin's miniscule contribution to Korean volleyball and volleyball in general. Nobody's gonna miss her except maybe you and other drama enthusiasts from stan twitter

so ,because its official since more then 2 weeks that Rousseaux is no longer France NT headcoach , what do you think ? which coach french fedration must call ? what's your opinion?
What about Blaine? he did well for Japan's men's team and he's no longer renewing next year

The best defense is a good offense.
No one ever said best offense is a good defense because that strategy is for losers and that's exactly the only thing Japan abides by. Good for the men's team because they have Ishikawa who not once has ever played for a local league in Japan. But what now for the girls
they have nishida too and the girls doesnt have that because they have 12 allrounders who cant do shit

in what year did she join the main team? i dont remember her playing with the a team?? actually i dont know who that is

What
where you got the info that Fornal is close friend to Steven?
Like I said IG back when Steven had his IG before fans bombarded his account with hate after being guilty of rape. There were photos of them at events.
-
At least, Poland doesnt have a player who was convicted for sexual harassment, beating someone, driving while drunk and a lot more to the count.
fornal being close friends with convicted pedophile rapist steven van de velde is not suspicious?!?! you're tripping. those who have been following him on ig for a long time know all about it and others have lost respect because of his association with vdv alone not just because of his immature fuckboy energy in the court

Yamauchi is probably retiring but unsure whether it's just from the NT or for good. There are conflicting news on whether Kentaro is actually retiring

They don't have to be exactly like China and get 200cm girls but at least 180+ like Gabi and Carol. If they can't do that much then good luck watching Mayu suffer even more than Koga did

Where are all these magical tall volleyball players going to come from?
The Training Camps for Tall Kids who want to play volleyball (no experience required), all the JOC and All Star Dreamers stuff aren't producing them
Do the people in charge of that stuff look at a 12 year old and say: "Can't 2-pass for shit, dives like a girl, and, well, too tall to dig. Okay Next!"
Does anyone seriously believe they ignore gifted in some way tall girls because they don't look like they can play rooted in the past small ball?
Should they do the China Scouting route?
I just looked at the Women's OG Basketball roster. Tallest player is 185. Go get her
Yes I think they should do the China route. Japan may have beaten China but they're the ones in the quarterfinals not Japan.
I don't know how they're going to go about this but I find it hard to believe that out of 500 girls interested to play volleyball not a single one is over 180? In the men's highschool division out of 50 20 are over 188cm

I don't really follow v league. i tried to last year so i could watch keihan takahashi but its too much hassle with vpn, translation, and having to pay for something that isn't even subbed, has boring commentators, boring spectators and videos with very poor quality. i dont know how it will be any different or more appealing with this new sv league launch.
That aside I'm curious how Japan will move forward with getting more physical players if they have to consider height. Japan's answer to being physical are their liberos not their hitters. They somehow think being an allrounder and having above average reception will make up for the lack of height. I prefer China's -if you can't beat em, join em- approach but I don't know their process when it comes to scouting taller players. The fact still stands Saori, KYK and Zhu aren't Mayu's height.

If this team was truly decent they would've won against Poland and not get demolished by Brazil. Poland was beatable and as usual they were leading but fell apart. They have one "super" that isn't technically a big gun and they have great liberos but how will they beat top teams without more firepower. They were not a decent team this Olympics if anything they tanked this.
Koga did not have a good run internationally that doesn't take away how good she is as a player. Ups and downs are part of the process of molding a great player. Domestically she is Japan's queen but it ends in the league.

Not yet. Pool C is very open tbh.
Can you explain where they go from here.
They win against Kenya and then what?
-
if they lose to brazil tomorrow they will be eliminated already?
