Iran - Super League 2011/2012

  • Not a word for Bulgarian players and he shows the picture of Bogdanov. Is it possible for him not to know that in Iran are playing foreign players?

 I'm sure he knows, This is a picture of him talking to Philippe Barca-Cysique.

Well, maybe because he's already said a lot about Bulgarian players :D , but to be honest imports didn't play crucial role in the first final. Kaleh has no foreign players, they signed with 2 Bulgarian players but released them soon, Krasimir Gaydarski and a setter, I can't remember his name. they also singed an Indian player (Sanjay Kumar, best player of India NT) but released him too.
As for Saipa I already explained the situation, but yesterday Simeonov started the match but went to the bench early in the first set and never came back since his replacement did fine. Stanev played some minutes in 2nd and 3rd sets when the gap was so big. (only 2 imports can play at the same time and he can't play when both Bogdanov and Simeonov are in the match)

if anyone interested this is both teams starting lineup
Saipa: Mahdavi (S), Bogdanov and Faezi (MB), Fayazi and Simeonov (Gholizad) (OH), Soleimani (OP), Yousefi (L)
Kaleh: Marouf (S), Nadi and Gholami (MB), Nazari-Afshar and Zarini (OH), Mahmoudi (Ghara) (OP), Alizadeh (L)

  • Final, Match 2, 17th March :
    Kaleh - Saipa 3-0 (25-14, 25-13, 25-20 ) / Serie: 1-1

    3rd/4th Playoff, Match 2, 17th March :
    Urmia - Paykan 1-3 (20-25, 25-20, 15-25, 19-25 ) / Serie: 1-1

    Final, Match 3, 19th March :
    Saipa - Kaleh
    Paykan - Urmia

  • 3rd/4th Playoff, Match 3, 19th March :
    Paykan - Urmia
for an unknown reason IRIVF cancelled this match and both teams awarded the third place ! today is the last day of the year in Iran and the entire nation is traveling at this time :D and also we have heavy snow in some cities. because of that probably it was hard for both teams to fly from Urmia to Tehran. so ... 8)

    Final Match 3, 19th March :
    Saipa - Kaleh 0-3 (20-25, 18-25, 15-25 ) / Kaleh wins the league 2-1
Due to super heavy traffic (reason = see above) both teams didn't get there until almost 1 hour after the scheduled kickoff time :aww: and the match started so late but without TV coverage because of the delay :wall:

As the youngest team of the season, Saipa (and their star Fayyazi) collapsed so bad after winning the first final. :aww: Kaleh played perfect though.
