São Paulo Cup 2013

    São Paulo Cup 2013 is going to start at 9 August. The competition features 7 teams and works like a preparation to Paulistão.
    Sollys/Nestlé is out.

    Competition formula
    The preliminary round will run over five weeks from August 9 to September 14. All teams will contest each other one time.
    Following the preliminary round, the final reunite the two best teams for championship to be held at 21 or 22 (to be decided yet) September.


    Sesi-SP is the current champion.

    *They already had a lot of different names.

    1) Bauru defeated Praia Clube in straight sets (25:19, 25:13, 25:19) at the São Paulo Regional Games. They also defeated Uniara in a friendly match some days ago.
    Bauru is a good team. Unfortunately, they won't play São Paulo Cup and Paulistão.


    2) The male competition of Paulistão will apply 21 points rule. During playoffs, if one team won a match and the other won the second one, we'll have the golden set with 21 points.
    I suppose female competition is going to apply the same rules but there's nothing official yet.

    Jacareí gave up competing. :aww:
