Russia - Superliga 2011/2012

  • Krasnodar MB Elena Konstantinova is injured and will miss two weeks. She sprained her ankle and is dropped out of action for at least two weeks. She was among the 29 listed players in the Pre-Russian Squad for Olympics. Krasnodar already has the two setters Startseva and Surtseva injured.

  • Yes, Alisheva was really impressive against Kazan, so maybe you're right about her. Krasnodar is playing so badly now that probably won't be a contender for top4, Omichka and Proton will argue it out.

We will se about Alisheva, but she has played some really good matches against the best teams, thats a really great strength.

About Krasnodar, the results is so bad that I get confused really.... Very important game today against Zarechie of course, then they will face Omichka and then Samordok at home as the final match of the first stage. If we consider Omichka lose against Moscow 3-0/3-1, and Krasnodar wins over Zarechie 3-0/3-1, then they will have a advantage of 4p before the match against Omichka next weekend, and it will be enough, since Krasnodar has a "free throw" in the last round against Samordok at home in the last round of Superliga.

I think it has to be like that if Krasnodar should reach the play-off, since I think Omichka beats Krasnodar in Sibiria, especially when they now is without Konstantinova and 2 main setters.

    What do u think?

  • There are more games left. Besides Zarechie (at home), Omichka (away), Samorodok (home), Krasnodar will have to play Proton (away) and Fakel (at home) and I expect these 2 games will be very hard for Krasnodar to win. Omichka on the other hand has played so good against Kazan that I kind of expect them to score points even against Moscow and Uralochka away games. Also Krasnodar has a very bad schedule. They travel a lot. In 2 weeks time the journey is Tyumen-Ekaterinburg-Krasnodar-Constanta,Romania-Omsk. Looking at the map you can imagine how tired the girls probably feel already. So I don't really expect Krasnodar to do well in Omsk in that very crucial game next Sunday.

Okay, I just looked at the schedule here: http://www.volleyservice.ru/in…ers&task=results&gender=f

But then it looks difficult of course, but the game against Omichka will probably be crucial anyway I think. I belive they beat Zarechie today at least. I agree that Omichka can be a serious threat even against Moscow with that kind of shape they have right now...will be a nice game to watch (if they stream it) hopefully :)

  • Dinamo - Omichka 1:3 :white:
I think changing coach was not a good idea for Dinamo. Ovchinnikov moved Yaneva to receiving Opp and Goncharova to OH, in 4th set she received in some rotations instead of Grün. Matienko played as main setter. Dinamo reception was a big problem again and only Goncharova could score regularly. Grün can't get past the block and Yaneva only got sets from bad situations...
Kazan can already plan the championship party, I don't think any of the other teams can really be dangerous to them this season.

  • Was Ovchinnikov really the best option for both Dinamo Moscow and Russia NT? His strategies seems very pointless against Omichka.I don't know why they look so negative to foreign trainers. There is a Caprara example

  • Stats from Moscow - Omichka 1x3: http://vldinamo.ru/getfile/55.pdf

Goncharova 27p and 44 % in attack even if they lost in 4 sets, its fantastic. I couldnt watch the match, but Grun was horribile in attack according to the stats. Once again Alisheva and Yurieva played strong matches for Omichka. Yurieva had 6 blocks :super: Such a shame Russia has Gamova, Goncha and Alisheva as OPP´s and only one can play.

  • 18th day results.
    Tyumen-TyumGU - Uralochka Ekaterinburg - 1:3 (25-22,20-25,16-25,21-25)
    Avtodor-Metar Chelyabinsk - Fakel Novy Urengoy - 3:2 (19-25,25-19,25-21,22-25,15-12)
    Dinamo Krasnodar - Zarechie-Odintsovo - 3:0 (26-24,25-20,25-21)
    Dinamo Moscow - Omichka Omsk - 1:3 (25-23,22-25,18-25,23-25)
    Severstal Cherepovets - Proton Balakovo - 2:3 (26-28,20-25,25-23,25-23,10-15)

  • Yeah Grün played a bad game in all elements, I didn't understand why the coach didn't at least try to substitute her with Makarova. Most of Yurieva's blocks came from Grün...I watched Alisheva for the 1st time, she scores a lot of points but she is not on the same level as Gamova and Goncharova, she doesn't attack very powerful, she mainly benefits from her height...But then, in many other NTs she would be a main player ;)

  • Standings:
    1. Dinamo Kazan 42
    2. Uralochka Yekaterinburg 40
    3. Dinamo Moscow 36
    4. Dinamo Krasnodar 35
    5. Omichka Omsk 34
    6. Proton Balakovo 32
    7. Fakel Novy Urengoy 29
    8. Zarechie Odintsovo 20
    9. Tyumen TyumGU 19
    10. Severstal Cherepovets 17
    11. Samorodok Khabarovsk 11
    12. Avtodor-Metar Chelabinsk 9

  • May Russian friends publish the stats of the matches?

    Thansk Semisonic and Usafan.
Why did Neriman play one set?

  • Yeah Grün played a bad game in all elements, I didn't understand why the coach didn't at least try to substitute her with Makarova. Yes, she isnt as mobile/explosive as Gamova even if they have the same height, for sure. So Gamova is better of course, but no one will ever question that either ;)

But Alishevas motion when she attacks is a bit weird to me, or when she scores, sometimes I feel like "how did she to score there" hehehe, because as u said, her ball isnt powerful, and she is slow, but she just place it right and she also has the leftie-advantage.

  • Thansk Semisonic and Usafan.
Why did Neriman play one set?

When the game started Neriman was having a nightmare in reception. Balls were flying all over the place. She was substituted for Gansonre at 10-16 and at that point Krasnodar has scored only 1 point in attack, all others were block and Zarechie's own mistakes. Krasnodar just couldn't have any offensive play because Neri was unable to deliver the ball to the setter. Gansonre played very good for the rest of the set and in the 2nd as well. Neri got back on court in the 3rd then Gansonre's 4 receive errors in a row made score 1-5. Kosheleva for the most of the time covered her in reception, in attack she was good. So Krasnodar has won today, but still very unconvincing performance ahead of the crucial game in Omsk next Sunday
