I've read thousand times that Croatia and Bulgaria are going to be two of the strongest european teams with their best roster... And when I said they will have reception troubles nobody even cared.

ok, let's not get carried away. it's true that this WC is a bit watered down with only 2 euro teams, but it's not like CRO, BEL, NED, AZE, GER, BUL are even candidates for the olympics… last time, POL didn't even qualify.

in europe right now, i think only RUS, ITA, SRB and TUR should be in the olympics. POL used to be good but right now, not so good… all the others are B level or C…

I agree with all you say. Russia, Serbia, Italy and Turkey are the only essential teams, other teams would be nice, but I won't die if Germany, Netherlands, etc don't qualify.

I didn't mean that all these european team should play Olympics, I just wanted to say how hard is to qualify from Europe. For example Poland was in the final of qualification tournament 2 last times- in 2008 and 2012. Just to get to that final they had to beat Nederlands, Serbia, Russia and Germany in 2012 (so the World Champion and Europe Champion...) and Serbia, Germany, Turkey and Nederlands in 2008 while for exapmle in South America apart from Brazil there are only weak teams and they get an easy way to advance.

I think everyone hopes the same! hehehehe
Nothing against USa and China, but like you said, they can easily qualified for the Olympics in their continent tournaments...so we can have a better Olympics.

This just shows how ridiculous this qualification process is, we have to cheer for specif results in order to really have the best teams playing the Olympics... :aww:

And what is even worse, if Serbia and Russia are preaparing for the WC, they have less chances in ECH than teams preaparing for ECH only... (however, ECH really give nothing apart from points in rankings..., real ECH will be played in January as EOQ- there is no sense at all in that ).

One positive thing is that 1st and 2nd team from ranking are not going for the World Olympic Qualification Tournament, but 2nd and 3rd team from EOQ- it is really more fair.

However it doesn't change the fact that this system is a real problem and should be changed to at least what we have with men. It is possible with USA and China advancing from WC that only 3 teams from Europe will play in Rio, but at least 6 places should be from there. In WCH 5 of TOP10 temas are from Europe and 11 of TOP16. In WCH10 and WCH06 Russia was the champion... Imagine that on the men side only Russia, Poland and Italy (for example) would play and Serbia, Bulgaria, France, Germany won't, but a spot for Algieria and Kenya or whatever is always certain.

I don't know but FIVB should think this through and make good conclusion, especially with Russia, Serbia, Turkey, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Poland, Croatia and Azerbijan all being in Europe.

Did I say that Nawrocki will be coach in 2018? Currently Smarzek's position depends on him and then on someone else.

Smarzek might be better receiver than KSD. She was supporting receivers during YECH 2013 and it looked quite good. Malwina has possibilities to be good OH in the future.

    I forgot to add:
    Skorupa=dream :S

For now we have good OPPs, Skowronska and Zaroślińska probably will play at least until WCH 2018, by this time Malwina will be 22 only.... Until 2018 I believe she could be OH in NT, but it all depends on Nawrocki...

Yeah, great ideas, however we don't have better MB than Bednarek and Tokarska as well as good OH apart from Werblinska... Smarzek can't receive so I don't know what you're expecting- KSD is better OH IMO...

But at least we don't have to worry about good OPP in the future with Smarzek, would be great if any OHs showed up...

I believe we will continue playing with KSD< so it would be Wołosz, ABK, Tokarska, Werblinska, Skowronska, Zaroslinska and Maj, with Kaczorowska probably in case of KSD troubles...

On the other hand I heard that probably 16 players will be on next camp... but maybe more...
IMHO Skorupa and Tomsia won't be there, Jagieło niether :wavy:

It's just what Nawrocki said that after EG and WGP Paulina Maj will join for sure and he is in talks with Tomsia, Jagieło and Skorupa. However if we see Kaczorowska then I believe that Jagieło won't play.

Only possible names apart from that are Berenika Okuniewska (Opp), Aleksandra Jagielo (OH) and Katarzyna Skorupa (S).

Yes Bulgaria has good young MB but Bulgaria still need her in NT, You can't expected that Croatia will play good on ECH if We don't have Poljak in the team...Same for Bulgaria, if they are with full roster i would say now that they will be in top 4 teams(maybe) but now it looks very hard to me, but it's to early for prediction...

To be honest, both Bulgaria and Croatia have good attackers, however their reception is really poor- especially in Croatia. Bulgarian reception potentially can be really good, but Yaneva and Vasilieva had bad season, only Dobriana is on the highest european level. Anyway Nikolova after good season played really bad in EG... For me these are 7.-8. teams in Europe.

It's gonna be hard with this team to defeat Nederlands, at least we have good attackers now. It will all depend on how Grejman and Kurnikowska will play.

Nawrocki really gives everything possible on ECH. We'll see the result.

Skowronska will probably play in FF.

If Maj will be there for ECH then I believe she can cover 3/4 of reception with Werblinska and make Skowronska receive less. It worked in 2012 OQ tournament and maybe it will work again. Durajczyk played really bad during European Games and there is a room for improvement in our team.

As for MB, Bednarek always played fast balls close to the setter and she was good in attack then, I don't know why she tries to attack from the side :wall: However I think MBs weren't used to Wołosz and having more time now will work.

Congrats to Poland, they deserve to be in final. They are a very beautiful team as well. Werblinska, Skowronska, Kurnikowska, Bednarek, Zaroslinska and Paszek :rose: Hopefully they get the gold.

Serbian B team played much better than my expectation, unfortunately Mihajlovic's teammates didn't help her that much. Rasic should learn how to serve, this was not the 1st time...She's a classy MB but a horrible server.

 Serbia B? Apart from Ognjenovic who had a terrible season and Veljkovic who is similar level to Rasic and Stevanovic who else isn't here? Cause Boskovic could also be on bench due to Mihajlovic horrible reception.

No they didn't it was 1:1 in sets :)

And I'm haply with score.. Cro is playing with young players and Poland beat Ger in friendly matches so that means that they are not that bad :D.. Poland is in Baku with a strongest roster

Croatian league is doing good jobs with our player

Actually, there were two teams, and 1st Poland team won, second lost.

Of course Turkey team used the second roster to make Germany able to qualify. I hope Brazil will defeat China for 3 points and will go to Ningbo to end up counting points in volleyball.
