The Olympics are coming to end soon, only 4 teams are left. Obviously the Games mark an end of an era for many teams and players. There will be plenty of changes going on soon.
Russia looks to be the most affected. Sokolova, Godina and Artamonova are leaving, Gamova is supposed to take a break. They were the pillars of Russian team and replacing them is going to be tough. I guess Anna Makarova is going to be included to the team soon, is she really good enough? Are there any young talents in sight? Is Caprara going to stay? It looks like there are some difficult times ahead for Russia now...
Poland will have to do without Glinka and Liktoras. A significant blow, but I think have a number of talented player at their disposal. It might take a while but I think they will do just fine.
Serbia is going to miss their captain Vesna Citakovic. It's a big loss, mostly because the other MBs are too young and Krsmanovic does not look able to take over the job. She was also the most experienced player and a real leader on court, it will be difficult to find someone to replace her in this aspect. But most of all this team has to do some soul-searching and find the reasons why their game has declined so much over the last 9 months or so. They have come to the Olympics looking totally out of sorts and that is unacceptable.
What about Italy? Is Aguero staying? Will there be any retirements?
Brazil? Anyone else beside Fofao?
