Of course Turkey is going to improve, this is their first macht of the year, but there's no need to understate Brazil's win. This is not their main team, of course there's Dani Lins and Garay who are starters. But Priscila, the other OH, is behind Jaque, Natália and Gabi. IMO.

Jucy and Adê are great, but Thaísa and Fabiana are oustanding. The best MB we ever had.

Sheilla and Tandara are ahead of Monique.

Camila should've been tested before, but Fabí after the Olympics (and her season in Unilever) showed that she still owns the spot. (Sure Camille can be starter in 2016)

So, I don't think it's unfair to say that this is a B team. Unlike Turkey, which absences are not that relevant.

Russian press is lousy and unreliable. Just 3 days after the article about european QT, Sport-express publishes refutation of it - there will be no tournament. I'm sorry to mislead you guys, but it's not my fault really I was just as hopeful to see this tournament as everybody else here ;(

    That sucks!

Grand Prix will be terribly WEAK!

First Gamova crying on the avatar to mock her and now you feel sorry for her. Great coherence...

The avatar was before the Olympics 8)

But I'll keep it to remind myself that I waited for this moment for a long time, and that she doesn't deserve my pitty.

Crying Gamova on the avatar? Some Brazilian fans here are really bordering on mental illness

Was simply my homage to her arrogance.

But now, after another olympic disapointment, I feel sorry for her. Even though she doesn't deserve it.

2003 China won WGP and WC
    won 11 matches in WC
definitely a dream team, if Brazil in 2008 was a dream team, same as China in 2003.
also in 2004, Feng kun, yang hao, Zhao rui rui,Zhou su hong ,Liu ya nan,Zhang na these 6 form the dream team for China.

It's not about how many championships and games they won, it's about HOW they won.
The chinese team was very good, Feng was amazing, but they were not a power house like Brasil in 2008 and Cuba in the 90s

Is kinda disrespectful to compare the Cubans from the 90s and the Americans from 2012.

There is a HUGE difference, USA has only one good spiker (maybe 2), Cuba had at least 4 GREAT ones.

Dani Lins played a great tornament, not just the final. The best setter of the Olympics.

Well, where are all the haters now? Never underestimate Brazil, NEVER.

Hooker should take a very good lesson from this, Dream Team only Cuba in the 90s e Brazil in 2008.

It's ridiculous some statements here. The Brazilians are arrogants, after everything they had to hear from Gamova. In 2008, she sad that Brazil doesn't win any manjor competition, just Grand Prix. In 2010, during the brazilians interviews after the WCH final, many russian players and staff assistants passed behind them celebrating and clearly mocking the brazilians. In 2011 GP, during the semifinal, everytime Gamova scored she smiled at the brazilians in a challenging way.

Sheilla once said that they have a very good relationship with some players of other NT, always say "hello" and chat in the hotels during the competions, but Gamova just passes by and never speaks. Jaque asked Gamova to take a picture with her, Gamova didn't want to. What a classy lady.

BTW, Goncharova is the classy one yealling at the brazilians. Ok.

Brazil clearly doesn't like Gamova. As is their right. And today is big day for all of us.

Brazil played a Friendly match against Serbia, Zé didn't tell any details but said that Brazil won and, more importantly, Natalia played. Don't know if she played the whole match.

I think the way the brazilian players celebrate, usually, has nothing to do with the other teams they're playing against. Paula, Adenizía and Garay yell after a point to push themselves e their teammates harder, to let loose the tention so they can play better, to get the momentum to their side.

And surprises me to see that some people think brazilians had overconfidence, because in many matches they show the complete oposite, they respect too much, that's what bother many brazilian fans: the lacking of confidence of such a good team.
