I like Serbian NT, bcs I generally liked the country and the girls are well known and loved in Turkey, but... All I will say; let's remember the last NT TVF stole a coach from and how much they fell out on the international scene. :D Could care less at this point.

Considering Dutch NT, in their period of greatness, had reached the heights that you are yet to, despite all their limitations and your advantages, I wouldn't be quite so confident about your ability to ruin other NTs.:P

why do you care about erdogan's money? tvf has like 30 sponsors.

and why this is even allowed? this is political. when i wrote political, it got deleted.

No, it isn't. It's an offhand remark, a shorthand for "financially loaded". Personally, I don't care if it's state or private money.

As for what YOU did, well...

There's a swirl of emotions right now in me, but the dominant one is disgust. Disgust at Santarelli for being a cheap bitch, disgust at OSSRB for being cheap bitches, disgust at TVF for shamelesly throwing around their Erdogan money and perhaps most distressingly, disgust and shame toward myself for ever liking Turkish NT because this is not the first time they did such a dastardly move, and I was blind to it because it didn't concern me and my interests. It isn't pleasant to be confronted with irrefutable evidence that you are self-centred and lack empathy. For what it's worth, I'm sorry Dutch fans. :(

Funny tidbit concerning that: Serbia defeated his teams at European Championships in 2011, 2017, 2019 and 2021. He is yet to have a European gold. Maybe he thinks we owe him one, hence agreeing to a lower salary to finally get it.

There is one specific issue I can already foresee. Having in mind Gui's Terzic-like tendency to have beefs with players, how will this affect Maja and to a lesser extent, Tijana. Okay, he did some subtle shade-throwing at Boskovic on several occasions , but that could be written off as sour grapes on his part (particularly since she seems to have no ego). But his history with Maja is more turbulent. I can recall off the top of my head at least a few instances where her celebrations were very pointedly in his direction. It is clear from her interview in that Bosnian documentary about Tijana from a few days ago that she doesn't consider herself a retired player. Will this nudge her to an official retirement?

and looking at Italy, half of the representatives are not of native Italian origin.

Just to cut short any going off on this tangent, any post on this will be deleted, first because it's off topic, and second because it's almost literally opening a whole another can of worms, and this thread doesn't need any more passion right now. So fair warning.:)

A very fine post. I have some quibbles here and there, but I won't do it, because such a well-constructed argument deserves to be encouraged, and by contrast shit some of your compatriots have thrown here to be discouraged so kudos from me.

Stop quoting that post. There shouldn't be any trace of it on this site.

Any post that has no connection with volleyball, players or Turkey (in regards to volleyball) will be deleted.
