Can't they find someone at Stocznia Szczecin to become their defensive OH?

I don't think Leal was that bad but they need someone better than Massari to stabilize their reception.

The option right now is to sign Kovar back, at least for this season.

I would say Leal's performance is not good at all, especially at reception. Massari can only help on reception for 3 rotations per set. That's all. Most of the time he needs to do the passing.

I think after today one will be out together with Medei and Cormio .

Maybe Bruno +Medei will be out for Stoychev

If Lube would have won the gold, Medei could have secured his position. Now it's hard to say.

The whole team is built by Cormio. Therefore, he needs to take part of the responsibility. However, if he stays, Stoychev won't be the coach of Lube. Juantorena doesn't like Stoychev, either.

The only possibility is to sign someone new at the moment. They can't dump Bruno now.

Awww I feel bad for Sokolov. He probably misses Christenson. Who ever accept the sale of Bruno to Lube is looking for a job right now. I hope. :gone:

Balaso did well in my opinion and leveled with Grebenikkov for some moments in the match. I think his transfer to Lube is still meaningful in my opinion.

Grebennikov is definitely better than Balaso. He can cover more area and make more digs. Balaso has been improving, but there is still a long way to go for him to become a top-level libero

Even if Buijs didn't play any match in Challenge Cup?

I just check the rules. According to CEV competitions regulation:

“The Player licence can be included in only one CEV collective licence (CL, CEV Cup or Challenge Cup). A Player licence may be removed from one CEV collective licence in order to be included in another one as follows:

    a) At any time, when the Player never played a match with the previous club,

    b) No later than the start of the 1/4 finals of the CEV Cup and Challenge Cup or 1/4 finals of the CEV CL; when there is an emergency, medical or exceptional reason which is approved by the CEV office. Only one Player licence may be

removed. The new Player shall come from a different CEV competition and a fee be paid.”

Therefore, there is possibility for Buijs to play CL if she transfers to Conegliano. But it’s definitely impossible for Grothues.

He probably doesn't mind paying more to break some existing contract, like for example Anne Buijs' one with Monza (there were rumors Monza wanted to cut her due to her injury)?

Since Monza competes in the challenge cup, Anne Buijs cannot play CL if she transfers to Conegliano. They need to transfer a player who is not registered in any of the european cups.

The challenge system or the video replay for serve in or out looks off. I guess the video replay is the mistake. I swear I saw some after image in the replay.

The TV replay doesn't show the correct image. When the ball fully touches the floor, it is pressed. In the images they show, the balls are mostly spherical. It's either before or after fully touching the floor.

Agree... compared to the beginning of the season they are better. I agree he connection is a bit off - but its quite hard to have that connection with Bruno - he struggles to have that connection with his own national team players - I think he was kind of spoiled by playing with Ngapeth who can create points from nowhere. That's generally how he sets everyone now. Christensen can also be as inconsistent though... What the team really need is a good libero who can cover more area you are right. When Bruno has a consistent ball he is more effective.

Christensen is definitely inconsistent, especially at crucial moments. Hope the connection between Bruno and the attackers will work better.

A good libero can help them a lot. Their reception is the first issue. It's shaky. However, in this season, we can only expect Balaso to improve.

I absolutely agree! It is still related to sports but not at all to a World Club Championship anymore. The absence of continental representatives makes it everything else but a World Club Championship. And, of course, the random choice of a second Polish, Italian, and Russian teams. To be read, why Fakel, Resovia, and even Trentino and/or Lube? Money, of course, but never mind.

Both the Men's and Women's Club World Championship are just businesses for FIVB. It's not bad that high level clubs buy the wildcards.

Monza is a great team. It's probably the fifth strongest club in Superlega on paper because their two OHs can rival even Trento's Kovacevic and Russell duo and they have a good opposite but only missing on Orduna because of the height.

I hope they win the european challenge cup if they're not able to take any of the domestic silverware. They have the quality and even Buchegger is still out. I wonder if he can still make it for this season? Monza would have two good opposites in their roster which can be scary for any team facing them for the coppa italia.

I'm very impressed by their preformance so far. I think they have great chance to win the title of challenge cup. If they face Trento in the quater-final of play-off, they might have a chance to enter the semis. Let's see what they can achieve in this season.
