Why can’t Nika stay?? Novara has 6 foreigners this season, next season Hancock, Herbots and Rosamaria are very likely to leave. I don’t see any problem with the number of foreign players they have after signing Poulter & Gray even if Nika is staying.
Gray will probably be the back up of Nika like Herbots does this season (and with Caterina always on court no matter what circumstance...:aww:)

I don't think she'd play over Natalia or Pietrini (unless they were doing really bad)

Yes I also said the same.

My point is, if Scandicci looks for a back row substitution only, they can just hire another libero for that role. Dobi is too good (and a bit expensive) for that, She can still be useful to many mid level teams.

Ishii made it clear that she doesn't want to retire yet and might aim for Paris. From her interview with VBM

That’s surprising. I feel like she’s lost her motivations when she played. Tbh, if she really still wants to have a chance for Paris, she has to step up her games, and by a huge step, from attacks to passing.

I was referring to this position when I said he should have defended easily, there was another easy one in the first set too. I mean, I know I said I don't want to compare them to their team from last season, but both Zatorski and Tonuitti were almost always on point on defense, that is definitely missing. Back court attacks must be used efficiently, that was another thing that was missing.

I do think Zaksa did try to involve all the attackers including middles and the pipe, it was just the attacks of Smith and pipes of Sliwka not able score when they were given chances, that limited the choice of Jansuz and forced him to set to the wings more often. But OTOH, Jansuz may also be responsible for that, especially to the sets to the pipes of Sliwka. Lube’s blockers could read and predict where he would set, that caused troubles for Sliwka to get pass the blocks.

Just a few weeks ago she said in an interview how much she enjoys living in Italy, that she speaks the language fluently etc., so I wonder what changed her mind now :gone:

I guess it’s more like a decision from Scandicci side to let her go, as she doesn’t really have the position in the team now. I just don’t get why they would give an offer to Dobi at the same time, I don’t think Dobi can replace Natalia or Pietrini, but it’s Scandicci?(

Shoji was actually good today, 65% reception with 0 mistakes and some great defences. People who watch Plus Liga know that actually Zatorski is the one that isn't playing good this season ( like the whole Resovia team ) and Shoji only had a difficult start and has been doing good since like the 4/5th round. Today he definately wasn't Zaksa's biggest problem and neither was Smith ( even though his performance was average ). Kaczmarek played poorly with only 9 points in 5 sets and 29% attack and that caused most of Zaksa's problems.

Yes Shoji’s passing was great last night, the biggest mistake from him was in the beginning of the 3rd set, he failed to dig a spike from De Cecco!!:aww::aww: That wasn’t really a spike actually but kind of like a free passing coming as Lube was completely out of system, it was just Shoji standing at a wrong position, way too inside of the court. After that point the score became 3-7 from 3-3 and the 3rd set was basically over...

I am curious where Santarelli go now. Maybe Sweden? Probably not but that team desperately needs a good coach too:cheesy:

Or someone out there helps him to fill up that ridiculous application form for the Chinese NT:lol:

Gamze’ low flat sets aren’t working against Vakif. She sets the balls right under the hands of Zehra & Haak, I lost count how many times Anthi & Alexia were being stuff blocked. Look at how Gizem pump sets those high balls to them and they could score when the sets were higher.

I like Alexia’s game more than Vargas, but given the OH position is the biggest weakness of the Turkish NT, having Vargas playing as OH alongside with Ebrar as Opp seems to be better than having Alexia in the NT, which means either Ebrar or Alexia would be on the bench.

    Wtf:what::what:

I wonder how other Imoco players feel about this situation.

Pietrini is a really important player for Italian NT. Her absence would be a huge damage.

If he is Folie’s ex as Cro claimed, what’s the problem of Pietrini dating him?

I think Chiaka said they didn’t have an off day in 19 days which is pretty cruel. Not sure if it means physical work all the time, maybe they had tactical meetings etc but still too much. I am sure it is same for Imoco as well, give or take a day. I am not including Fener since they were pretty unprepared. And now these teams will play CL match this week. Vakif already went to France for the upcoming CL match. CEV and FIVB should be in alliance with their scheduling.

When CEV & FIVB both think it was ok for Zaksa to travel all the way from Poland to Brazil to play the World Club Championships then immediately fly to Russia to play a Champions League match, we shouldn’t have any hope on these rubbish organizations

To those who said De Kruijf had a better tournament overall than Chiaka and deserved to be chosen as best MB,

    De Kruijf:

6 points, 4 errors in final

    (4/10 in attack, 3 errors; 2 blocks; 0 ace, 1 service error)

12 points, 3 errors in semis

    (6/11 in attack, 1 error; 6 blocks; 0 ace, 2 service errors)

7 points, 2 errors against Paria

    (6/9 in attack, 0 error; 1 block; 0 ace, 2 service errors)

7 points, 0 error against FB

    (5/7 in attack, 0 error; 2 blocks; 0 ace & error)

    Chiaka:

15 points, 1 error in final

    (11/15 in attack,1 error; 4 blocks; 0 ace & error)

5 points, 0 error in semis

(3/8 in attack, 0 error; 1 block; 1 ace & no service error)

9 points, 0 error against Minas

    (6/6 in attack, 0 error; 3 blocks; 0 ace & error)

12 points, 0 error against Altay

    (10/12 in attack, 0 error; 2 blocks, 0 ace & error)

    Conclusion: Chiaka was ROBBED
