I'm just asking what does it have to do with unprofessionalism. If she wants to keep playing in her home country (where she is still playing on a high level league but that's not even the point) what's unprofessional?

Because it's unreasonable. If she does want to play for Italy of course that's not a problem but if her reason being homesickness then that just shows how unstable she is playing at a level she's at.

For example, Kelsey Robinson. Can you imagine if she refused playing in Turkey because she got too homesick in China?

I don't think it's the case, but even if it was what would be unprofessional about it? It would be unprofessional if she signed and left before the end of her contract for that reason, but if she doesn't sign because she would rather stay in her home country that's her prerogative

You do realize homesickness and loyalty are not mutually exclusive right? Every athlete gets homesick at some point. She's not a child

Both Zhu and MBH are not bad at receiving.

The Chinese NT doesn't want to overload Zhu cuz she is the go-to player for them. So they let the OPP pass the ball in some rotations. Her passing is better than their libero Mengjie Wang.

MBH's passing was quite okay when she was playing in Busto Arsizio and Novara. Don't underestimate her.

China's libero is pretty bad. You can say x is better than their libero and it would be true

    they were dating?

I don't follow them at a personal level but I'm a huge fan of Natalia and I know that her and Nootsara became very close. Natalia has said before that Nootsara reminds her of when she played volleyball during her childhood and it's just easier for her. But I don't think that means that Nootsara stopped being friends with KYK. Maybe they still are but are not in contact anymore

More concerned about the NT than the league? Like missing a week or two of practice is going to hurt. European club teams are playing into May.

While that extra week will help, Japan has ridiculously long training breaks. They still don’t finish in the medals.

At least in the Chinese gym, you know that it many players have a multiple medals. Not so in the Japan gym (non-junior level) other than the head coach and Araki, 2014 World GP players.

Other countries and especially these European countries have a solid NT roster they still have all their key players. There's no comparison

Where is Japan's Boskovic, Zhu, Robinson/Larson, Gabi/Natalia, Egonu... even Thailand has Nootsara. When they lost Saori they also lost a representative that everyone knows. Nakada should be prioritizing her own army and start practising at an international level not league level.

I think Mihajlovic’s NT journey will be mostly depended on Terzic. She will be with the NT as long as he still includes her in the squad, just like Nikolic did. While for club career, she will be still be welcome by Japanese clubs, to play as Opp or non-receiving OH, just as she did in JT.

Any club would be lucky to have Mihajlovic but I'm talking in terms of physical limit like what was brought up by the one I quoted. She is after all pushing 30 and by no means is that old, but as people age their physical strength also deteriorate. It's best not to abuse their limit

She's one of my favourite players by the way

I don't fully agree. I mean she is a good setter and deserves to be the starting setter, but she needs a stable back-up! We all saw she couldn't handle the pressure in the season she was the starting setter and had Buket as an inexperienced setter as her back-up...

    They don't have to sign the best setter, but someone with experience who can come in to stabilize the match or a talented setter who can become better under the wings of Guidetti. I could think of players like;

Experienced: Tomkom, Skorupa, Dijkema & Valentin.

Talented: Mayer, Buse Ünal, Orro & Bongaerts.

I don't think Tomkom will be going back to Europe. I haven't seen any news or rumors of her being mentioned in any big teams

Shouldn't Japan be more concerned with forming their potential Olympic roster rather than prolonging their league games?

Who do they use as a main setter and main attacker? Japan hasn't produced a female superstar after Saori Kimura. No one can say Araki because she was never a hyped figure which is a problem on the surface since the rest of the world don't know who represents them. It's only for the women's team since the men's team have Ishikawa and a trendy player like Nishida.

If stevanovic is not coming back to NT, probably Popovic&Aleksic will be the MB duo for Paris. Maybe with David or one of the youngsters from 2002 or 2004 generations.

In theory Mihajlovic can go for another olympic cycle but i doubt that she will last long since her game is all about physical strength, she won't be able to keep up with the highest level. most likely, Busa will be starter with Milenkovic

Mirkovic will be the setter, not that she is great but simply because there's no one better than her. Libero position will be hardest to replace, after Popovic

I agree with Mihajlovic. She shouldn't force herself any further. I would like to know what her thoughts are on her next step. I see her as someone who doesn't know when to stop
