This line up could also falter with a different team as well. Letk's see how they go from here. But amazing how the others stepped up. Koga was down today. Probably why Koga + Mayu isn't a good mix. Both can't perform individually together.
I don't buy this explanation, why wouldn't two top OH be able to play together? It is so weird.
I think a part of it was the setting of Shibata, they didn't sync good with OH in beginning of the match. It got alot better though I thought througout the match. She is not as good of a defender as Seki though which is a problem with both Wada and her on the right side in defense. She clearly is in sync with Wasa as you could see.
One thing that works with this lineup is really receive. Ishikawa is so strong in receiving, they prob have the best receiving line with ishikawa and libero of any team, especially when they know eachother better.

I know people are not a b ig fan of Hancock but what I've said before is that she always involves middles and most often successfully.

I think a reason why Thailand looks weak this year is because their receiving. It is not good at all and was alot better last year.

Weitzel needs to act a bit more professional lol, it is not like Heynen was swearing to her mom but complaining about something she doesnt do on court. Now she simply takes away all the chances of him telling her anything on the court again.
What happened I missed? Do you know which point it happened?

Also why no kojima, has she not had a good season ? For me she seemed way better last year than libero this year.

I mean they loose but its because of bad substitutions. It wasnt Serbia playing good. Look what an impact ishikawa made she could do that in both set 2 and 4 also. Manabe why?

in 2nd set they win was because her sister did some points as same as mb
Mainly receiving I would say, second set sweden had 10% positive receives. Belgium has a game plan and sticks to it (Herbottsball), and the other players enables it. Sweden was a bit everywhere as our commentators so nicely said. Also is a bit scared to set behind her on bad receives, Belgium could still set Herbotts on there bad reception sets.

Damn I know my Swedish team hahaha. 10% positive receive after two sets haha. Haak kills everything but she cant do everything alone without anyone to deliver half decent balls.
Also mystery why no Sjöberg as libero.

Alexandra is the good one. Rebecka never made it to a good level. I think she is only fine as a receiver but good to have her on bench in case Rebecka or Anna have troubles.
For middles, I think Joanna's position is locked. For others, not sure. Setter and libero performances will determine how far Sweden can go.

Tockin what about Sweden roster? No Rebecka Lazic but Alexandra and Isabelle Haak will play tomorrow? Anymore important players missing?
No other reported missing players it seems. My guess is Anna Haak and Alexandra Lasiz on OH, Isabelle on OPP. Wilma as setter. Only one missing is libero Sofie Sjöberg from before, either she chose herself not to join or the coach thought the other ones delivered more. Middle they could start with multiple options, no one dominating there.

If I am not mistaken, also Rebecka Lazic wasn't with the team.
Rebecka Lasic has a broken hand (not dominant one) so she might return after a while but will not be there in the start of the golden league.
Sofie Sjöberg was left out when they went from 19 to 16 ppl. The reason they gave was that they needed to take the team expected to have the most success, to me that sounds quite bad. D:

Sjöberg might still join if we are very lucky. She is not the best but not the catastrophe that we have with the other two. i think she is considering retiring.
Setter is a problem but i mean we have good spikers that can score anyways up to a certain point. The problem will much more be in defense where the setters lack alot. Trust me there will be some frustrating balls that go out of system because of the defensive line with libero and setter in backcourt.
But it is so nice that they are improving, and the liberos are young so alot can happen, when they get to meet harder opposition. Cheering for them!😃
