  • YavorD,

I am just curious, appart from Lukoil which team you are cheering for, if any?

My favorite this season is Pirin, hope they will keep the intrigue for the title in matches with CSKA. Also Gabrovo took my simpathy.
I like cheering for underdogs as well, this makes the championship more interesting

  • Why do you ask him that? How can anyone support more than one team in a league? ?( I like him being a Lukoil fan. It's a strong team having won one time bulgarian Superliga few years ago. So let him stick to the club even when times are hard. ;)

Don't get me wrong :) I don't mind him beeing a fan of Lukoil. Even when times are hard. Fans have to support the teams even more passionately to help the team to overcome the difficulties. Lukoil is a good team, I expect them to improve and take a deserved place in between 3-4 top places.

I was just curious, appart from beeing fan of Lukoil, if Yavor has sympathy of any other team. He seems to be very objective and understands volleyball indeed so why not like more than one team? Ofcourse when this team (teams) plays with Lukoil he will cheer for Lukoil, that's clear! :)

I didn't know my club preferences attract so much attention :D if you joined inside-volley recently, maybe you don't know that I am actually from Bourgas, Neftochimik is the club that brought me to volleyball, I played there for some years. I started watching games in Bourgas before Lukoil settled in the town and bought the oil refinery, then the club was called with its original name only - Neftochimik, so I guess a man's favourite club is most often the one he was affiliated to as a child, not depending on strength, money or whatever. This is why my hometown team is the one I like best in Bulgaria, easily explained since I played there and grew up there, right? :) I don't have any other preferences, I just watch other games without any special feelings, don't have any favourites or something, anyone or any club that develops volleyball deserves respect! And, of course, I cheer for all Bulgarian teams playing in European cups, no matter Levski a few years ago, or CSKA now! Compared to football volleyball is indeed a different story!

Btw, there a lot of awful things that happened in Neftochimik immediately after Lukoil came, so now many years after I stopped playing pro volleyball there I have mixed feelings about that period, but that's another topic. It is my club anyway :)

  • So, it seems that Neftohimick had finaly found their own rhythm and clinched a place in the top 3.
I like to watch them play when they've been broadcasted... especially Simeon Aleksandrov... :mirror:

  • Teodor Todorov for the first time with only one block for three sets, but wth 12 pts - 9/11 in attack

    http://www.cskavolley.org/OnLineScore/Match-report.htm

Overal spiking success of CSKA is very high, which means poor defense of Gabrovo

  • Cherno more BASK - UNWE 3-2 (24-26, 20-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-11)

Cherno more is sturggling against an university amateur club!!! :wall: :wall: :wall: It couldn't be worst. How come we don't have a good team playing here in Varna with such fanatastic volleyball fans  !?

I think Varna deserves a club at least at a top 5 teams level, it's just not fair...

Raylight, I though you are a fan of the CSKA's biggest rivals Levski? You seem to be so passionate these days about CSKA  ?

Gabrovo is undergoing some major changes - they switched the coach and key players left, including the setter while the new brasilian one is still not on the court, so I guess the result is normal considerning their status.

Besides IMO only 2 teams are capable to defeat CSKA now - Pirin and Neftochimik. I hope they will do it to keep the intrugue :P

  • I am big fan of Todorov and Salparov, not of CSKA :serve:

  • Cherno more is not mentioned as one of your favourite clubs in your profile here, which would have given us a hint you are from Varna :) They had a relatively good team back when Gradinarov, Yosifov and Aleksandrov were still playing there, but it's true they were never among the best. Btw, to me this doesn't matter, I have always respected BASK (for some personal reasons and quite friendly memories)!
