Big disappointment for Hamburg :white: And Vilsbiburg is back on track after the defeats against Münster and Dresden.
Münster's good form seems to continue, especially Cutura and Sloetjes are unstoppable. Michaela Jelinkova couldn't play today due to tonsilitis, but looks like Tess v.Piekartz replaced her very well.

  • Münster's good form seems to continue

    Yes!

especially Cutura and Sloetjes are unstoppable.

    Yes!

Michaela Jelinkova couldn't play today due to tonsilitis, but looks like Tess v.Piekartz replaced her very well.

    And yes! ;-)

Tess played a good match and Lonneke was unbelievable.
But we again should not forget the good reception of Linda and Ines! :-)

  • i didnt see the french setter M.Frick in staistics today; whats happen ? injured?

Les pieds dans le fumier, mais toujours le verbe haut et la tête droite ! Cocorico !

  • i didnt see the french setter M.Frick in staistics today; whats happen ? injured?

On Sinsheim's website is written that several players are sick with flu, I suppose Frick is one of them...Also MB Marisa Field didn't play today.
Dresden's coach rested Apitz and Tzscherlich today because there are many hard matches upcoming in January. Katharina Schwabe started the match as libero, but short before the end of first set he replaced her with Grit Müller...

  • Wiesbaden - Dresden on 19th january will also be a match of the first half of the season...

Edit: Also Leverkusen - VCO on 18th january is of first half while Leverkusen - Wiesbaden tomorrow is first match of second half of the season.

  • Some statistics after first half of the season

    Best scorer:
    1. Vendula Merkova (Suhl) 244
    2. Liana Mesa (Vilsbiburg) 211
    3. Ilona Dröger (Köpenick) 190
    4. Lousiane Penha de Souza (Hamburg) 189
    5. Hana Cutura (Münster) 187

Best server (total number of aces):
    1. Denise Hanke (Schwerin) 26
    2. Ilona Dröger (Köpenick) 22
    3. Lena Möllers (Vilsbiburg) 21
    4. Sandra Sell (Köpenick) 21
    5. Mareen Apitz (Dresden) 20
Taking aces per set, Apitz would be 1st, Hanke 2nd, Möllers 3rd.

    Best spiker (% successful attacks):
    1. Renata Benedito (Vilsbiburg) 62,9%
    2. Mindi Wiley (Münster) 59,2%
    3. Anja Brandt (Schwerin) 58%
    4. Ivana Isailovic (Suhl) 55,5%
    5. Franziska Bremer (Stuttgart) 55,4%
There is no 15% limit like in FIVB rankings, the only limit is that players must have played in at least 6 matches and must have done at least 2 attacks per set in average.

    Best blocker(total number of blocks):
    1. Jennifer Pettke (Leverkusen) 36
    2. Franziska Bremer (Stuttgart) 36
    3. Anke Borowikow (Aachen) 35
    4. Melanie Keil (VCO Berlin) 33
    5. Cindy Ramirez (Hamburg) 32
Taking blocks per set, ranking would be Melanie Keil 1st, Jennifer Pettke 2nd, Christina Speer (Suhl) 3rd.

    Best receiver(% perfect receptions):
    1. Myrthe Schoot (Vilsbiburg) 36,7%
    2. Linda Dörendahl (Münster) 35,5%
    3. Evelyn Lourenco Delogu (Stuttgart) 35,2%
    4. Lenka Dürr (Vilsbiburg) 33,8%
    5. Ines Bathen (Münster) 33,7%

Best setter(calculated from number of successful attacks after positive or perfect reception):
    1. Doreen Engel (Stuttgart) 48,9%
    2. Martina Viestova (Wiesbaden) 38,4%
    3. Lena Möllers (Vilsbiburg) 38,1%
    4. Mareen Apitz (Dresden) 37,7%
    5. Michaela Jelinkova (Münster) 34,8%
For me this is a strange way to calculate setter statistics...especially because Doreen Engel is 2nd setter of Stuttgart and doesn't play very much, 1st setter Nowakowska is 16th in ranking with 25,7%...

    MVP(number of gold/silver medals):
    1. Mareen Apitz 5/0
    2. Vendula Merkova 4/1
    2. Lousiane Penha de Souza 4/1
    4. Denise Hanke 4/0
    4. Liana Mesa 4/0
    4. Kim Renkema 4/0

  • Well, it´s not only setter statistics which are strange, but most of the stats in general. Guess, the only stats appropriate are the ones of scores, serves, spikes and blocks.

I also find receiver stats strange.

  • :( Bad news...I remember she had the same injury before, do you know if it's the same knee again?

No, i haven´t seen her since the match against Muenster and also didn´t talk with anyone else about which knee it is.
