2012 World Club Championship

This is my first thread here. It may have some mistakes. I just want to share some information about 2012 World Club Champions with others.

The men’s tournament will be 16 matches, organised into two rounds. The preliminary round will account for 12 matches, and the final will have four.Again, two pools will be formed – this time of four teams each. The teams will play a round robin tournament to determine the ranking, and the teams ranked third and fourth in each preliminary pool will be eliminated and all classified as fifth-place finishers.The team ranked first in each pool after the preliminary round will play against the team ranked second in the other pool in the semifinals. The losers of those semifinal matches will play for third and fourth places while the winners play for first and second.

The eight Teams qualified for the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship are: Al-Rayyan Sport Club, Qatar; Zenit Kazan, Russia( ); Zamalek, Egypt; Al-Arabi, Qatar; Tigres UANL , Mexico; Skra belchatow, Poland( ); Trentino Diatec, Italy( ); and a yet-to-be-determined team from South America.

As hosts of the competition, Al-Rayyan Sport Club qualified automatically for the Championship.

The seven remaining teams qualified thanks to the Continental Championships:
- Skra Belchatow (POL) and Zenit Kazan (RUS) won the two qualifying places available at the 2011 CEV Champions League with the former winning the tournament.
- Zamalek (EGY) qualified after winning the Men's African Club Championship.
- Tigres UANL (MEX) were nominated by NORCECA.
- Al-Arabi(QAT) won the Asian Men's Club Championship.
- Sada Cruzeiro won the CSV Men's Club Championship.

Additionally, Trentino Diatec qualified as wildcard recipients.

The tournament will be held October 13 to 19.

The South American Club Championship is held from September 3 to 9 in Linares, Chilel.

Club Al-Rayyan is officially started to strengthen the team to have some kind of a chance fighting back against the world best Club teams. The team from Qatar transfered for the World Club Championship the brazilian Rodrigao and bulgarian brothers Georgi and Valentin Bratoev. I guess the players will leave the team right after the Club World Championship.Still strange that such things are happening and allowed by the rules....But I guess money can fix anything.

This sentence is interesting and I think so.I hope these players will give us a wonderful World Club Champion,but I have no time to see it.

It's sad but the only team that can compete with brazilians is Bolivar, too bad they screwed and didn't win the league last season
