By the way why is Filipova on the court? If I was Lokomotiv's coach, I would prefer Gaido who had a good WGP with Argentina

Gaido enters every set as receiver for Kamenova but she doesn't look very convincing there. Filipova isn't a good player but at least more experienced.

The level of the match is getting extremely low now, both teams very chaotic and with many simple mistakes.

    Interview with Evgenjia Estes: http://www.championat.com/voll…davlennom-nastroenii.html

She says she wants to play for Russia in olympics, and she has a big desire to win her first olympic gold since she has "only" ECH-titles so far in NT in her carrer. She also says the Krasnodar failure wasnt unexpekted, since she think they did a huge misstake to kick out Ovechnikov as coach.

It would be her 6th Olympics, that must be a record. But I'm not sure if she'd be more helpful than Makhno for NT now...if everyone stays healthy Sokolova-Kosheleva-Gamova should be main players, Goncharova definitely there as substitute and then the choice will be between Makhno and Estes...could also be both. Either way if she goes to London I hope she can help the team more than 4 years ago, back then I thought it was a mistake to put her in first 6 instead of Godina.

I think Metcalf is better than Colombo and Baki MBs better than Loko's .

Yeah but the difference is not very big. And both teams have terrible setters. Gligorovic has good technique but is so easy to read and Nenova has awful technique, in the last match about half of her sets could have been judged as double touches. Also both liberos are not exactly top players...

I think Russian NT simply doesn't need her to perform like in club. In NT she usually has two of Gamova, Sokolova, Kosheleva beside her, in club only Grün and Yaneva/Makarova, so it's logical that she simply has to score more points than in NT. If she played instead of Gamova in NT she would probably put up similar numbers as in club.

Agree, concerning spectators, but it is at least a fair :!: system...while golden set isn't in my opinion

Why do you think it's not fair? The only problem I see is that the team which plays 2nd match (+ Golden Set) at home has an advantage, but it's the same in a Final 4 tournament where the host plays final match.

I really would like to know the opinions from the board members about the golden set !

For me its good, its better than the old system, with winning only sets !! The only alternative is maybe looking to the points each team scored, but the golden set is nevertheless better, Its also better than having a third match in case of tie. I know there is a big advantage for the home-team, but thats sport imo. If you want to win you have to win

In general I like Golden Set rule for elimination matches, it is better than set ratio or points ratio, and 3rd match means a lot of travel costs and fatigue for the players. But for a final match I don't think Golden Set is suitable. It should be either one pure final match (for example within Final Four tournament) or a best of three series, but then again this means a lot of travelling etc. So from economic perspective, Golden Set is a good solution, but I think for a final economics should not be first priority.

Bauer was simply amazing in the end of the set and also Havlickova made important points. So we get the Golden Set, anything can happen there...good luck to Busto

A quick look at the stats show that:
    - Busto passed only 13% excellent in 2nd set, and won that.
    - Galatasaray passed only 17% excellent in 3rd set, and won that!

Galatasaray made 6 service errors in 14 attempts in 2nd set, so they made it quite easy for Busto then. Now the match is more balanced, GS improved and Busto couldn't keep their highest level.

do the fans yell " muro oley" after kill-blocks ???

I think it's MU-RO-NE! Means something like big wall as far as I know...

I hope Laola won't turn off after regular match and before Golden Set like in some other matches

Calderon has fantastic reach and power, but I think sometimes she attacks without thinking to much it seems, just right into the block, like she expekt the power should be enough.

Typical Cuban style of play of the last 10 years ;)
I think Selime should have entered for Natalia, not for Miletic...

Busto is well prepared for Calderon, they already blocked her 3 or 4 times in this set. It's impossible to stop her completely but so far it looks really good for Busto and they seem more powerful than in the recent matches.
