Interestingly, the match-ups between the Asian countries was exactly the same the last time they played against each other.
During the semi-finals of 2018 U17 Asian Championship, China was up against Korea and Japan went head-to-head against Thailand. Both semi-finals went to the 5h sets before CHN and JPN emerged victoriously. I don't think Korea will get pass China this time around either but you never know how things will end up in sports. After all, Korea did beat China earlier during the group stage at the same competition last year 3-1.
I saw one of those VS Arashi shows with NT members. Embarrassingly fun. Will this be a live thing we can watch, do you know? Or wait for it to be uploaded?
Yes, if you can find a live stream for Fuji TV. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will get uploaded. Don't worry, once I find it I will share the link.
Here is their previous appearance on the show in 2014 https://www.bilibili.com/video/av1415831/
The girls are back on Japanese variety shows once again.
Also, this Thursday (Sept. 12) they will also be back on VS嵐 (VS Arashi).
Appearing on the show will be Erika Araki, Miya Sato, Risa Shinnabe, Mako Kobata, Sarina Koga, Ai Kurogo, former NT member Motoko Obayashi and a comedian called Yoshimi Tokui.
Results for the remaining exhibition matches.

Some fans was kind enough to put up live updates of each sets (the above links), but it was bloody hard deciphering what was happening as they used abbreviation of the players' name.

Diouf and Maya both only played the first two sets. Diouf scored 13 points, 11 from 24 spikes and 2 blocks.'
Last season rookie of the year, Jeong Ji-Yun continued to play well by scoring 17 points (incl. 4 aces and 2 blocks). Hyundai coach Lee D-Hee might move her to wings during the season.
From comments on DC inside, Go Ye-Rim played well but Hwang Min-Kyung was shaking early on in the game.
The Japan v Turkey stream only had the 4th and 5th set. I haven't checked this one out yet but it's only 45 minutes so it's probably the same.
Most likely the broadcaster started airing the game late.

Yeah, I think setter is a position that need lots of game time to become a better player
Isn't Dayeong will get her FA status after next season?
I'm kinda new to v-league so I don't know much about their rules and all
I guess Hyundai will persuade her to stay. I don't think the new setter will be ready
Unless they get experience setter from other team.
OH is always a problem for Hyundai. I noticed they mainly use MB and OPP for points
Yeah, Da-Yeong will have FA status at the end of this upcoming season, same with Jae-yeong. Actually, a lot of players will have FA status, including Kim Hee-Jin and Park Jeong-Ah. I think Hyundai will do all it can to hold onto Da-Yeong.
Btw, I have seen comments/rumours on Korean forum saying that Lee Jae-Yeong will join Da-Yeong at Hyundai after the 2019/20 season. But, I think Heungkuk will not let Jae-Yeong go so easily. Jae-Yeong will be earning 320M KRW for this upcoming season, making her the 3rd highest earner in the league behind Yang Hyo-Jin and Park Jeong-Ah. It will be hard for Hyundai to fit Jae-Yeong in the team due to the team salary cap.
Top 10 Female Player Earner for 2019/2020
1. Yang Hyo-Jin - 350M KRW
1. Park Jeong-Ah - 350M KRW
3. Lee Jae-Yeong - 320M KRW
4. Kim Hee-Jin - 300M KRW
5. Kim Su-Ji - 270M KRW
6. Lee So-Young - 220M KRW
7. Kim Hae-Ran - 200M KRW
7. Han Soo-Ji - 200M KRW
9. YimMyung-Ok - 180M KRW
9. Lee Da-Yeong - 180M KRW

OH Baek Mok-Hwa was playing as a receiving Libero and was alternating with Park Sang-Mi. Apparently this was the suggestion of the new IBK coach. Also, it seem like Kim Ju-Hyang (formerly Hyundai E&C) and Moon Ji-Yun (mini Kim Hee-Jin) are playing well for IBK.
Hi-pass best player was OH Yoo Seo-Yeun, scoring 16 points and was second highest on the team behind Atkinson with 17 points.
Gwangju Four Teams Exhibition Matches

Hyundai E&C vs KGC (18:00 KST)

Sunday (Sept.
Hyundai E&C vs. IBK (14:00 KST)
Korea Expressway vs KGC (16:00 KST)
Four of the women's teams (Korea Expressway, KGC, IBK and Hyundai E&C) have decided to hold a 4 teams exhibition matches in Gwangju on September 6-8th. The reason as to why the four teams are holding this event is all due to the recent political tension between Japan and Korea. As a result of this and current public sentiment, the majority of the sporting teams have abandoned their plans to have training camps/friendly matches in Japan. The teams were worried about public backlash if they went ahead with their original plans. To replace their cancelled training camps and friendly matches, the four women teams decided to organised this event.
At one stage of the discussion, there was talk that all six women teams would take part in this event. But due to constraints with the renting the gymnasium and the scheduling for all six teams, it was decided that only the original four teams would participate in this event.
Hyundai really need a good backup setter for Lee Dayeong
She can't do setter job alone like the last 2 seasons
Plus being the main setter for national team too, the risk of injury is too high
From last kovo cup matches that I watched, their current backup setter still kinda lacking..
Yeah, Hyundai definitely needed another backup setter for Da-Yeong.
Looking at all the backup setters in all six teams, and I have to say Lee Da-In is probably the weakest out all them. However to be fair, she hasn't had much game time over the past two seasons (in total - 3 league games and 4 KOVO cup games) compare to the other backup setters in the other teams.
I don't know much about Hyundai new setter Kim Hyun-Ji from Jecheon G.H.S..
Also, I'm surprised that Hyundai didn't recruit more players in this year draft. They could use with another OH and another libero.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.

What is their expectations for this tournament?
Not too sure, I haven't heard anything in the Korean media about the U18 tournament.
Personally, I don't expect much from them, after all they only managed to get 4th at last year U17 Asian Championship.

As promised previously, here is the list.
Some of the noticeable names that I am aware of or have seen mentioned recently are JUNG Ho-Young, GU Sol, KWON Min-Ji, LEE Da-Hyun, PARK Hyun-Joo, AHN Ye-Rim, KIM Da-Eun, YOOK Seo-Young, CHOI Ga-Eun.
Please note that I have left out two columns from the original KOVO version. The columns that have been omitted are the applicants' school grade column (3rd column from the left - the one with all 3's) and the applicants' Middle Schools column (2nd column from the right).
EDIT:
2019-2020 KOVO Rookies Scouting Report from thespike.co.kr (sorry in Korean only so got to use something like google translate)
The first three pictures are of JUNG Ho-Young, LEE Da-Hyun, and OH KWON Min-Ji. (Most likely the top 3 picks)
The article then list out 8 players with some background information. The first three players are the three that I have just mentioned above.
Looking at the available room on each of the six teams, most team won't draft that many players. Only Hyundai with currently on 13 players on their roster might take a few more.
Heungkuk (2x Yellow balls) - I think they needs reinforcement on the wings (both OH & OP).
Btw, I saw on a Korean forum someone mentioning that OH GONG Yun-Hui has closed her instagram account and then a few days later someone pointed out that her profile has disappeared on Heungkuk website. Not sure what happening here.
Korea Expressway (4x Blue balls) - I think they need Setter and libero.
GS Caltex (9x Pink balls) - I think a Setter, maybe an OP too or another OH.
IBK (20x Red balls)- definitely OH, MB, and Setter.
Hyundai E&C (30x Orange ball) - I think OH, MB, Setter too.
KGC (35x Green balls) - They need a superstar.
I think this is the link for stream (should start soon)
News Update:
Friendly Heungkuk vs Korea Expressway just starting not too long ago.
Live streaming on KOVO Youtube channel:
EDIT:
It seems the live stream for the friendly was deleted by KOVO.
Heungkuk and Korea Expressway held a friendly practice match on Friday (Aug. 30) as a special event at 2019 Hongcheon Youth Club Volleyball Competition. According to an article from thespike.co.kr, the two teams played a 4 sets match with Korea Expressway winning 4-0 (sorry, I haven't been able to find the actual scoreline). Korea Expressway had HA Hye-Jin and PARK Jeong-Ah in action but was missing BAE Yoo-Na, MOON Jung-Won, and PARK Hea-Mi. On the other side, Heungkuk was missing KIM Hae-Ran and LEE Jae-Yeong (the latter was seen in the crowd watching the match as a spectator).
