Did Wang YY even make contact with that one?

Similar fashion, WYL ends set 2.
-
China needs to clean it up and end it before Japan gains momentum.
-
Diao's sets to Yuan is still wonky.
-
I think that is Lai Yawen in the back with NFF and Yu Jiarui. Not sure what her role is, but I'm sure the girls are happy to see a familiar face.

Wang Yunlu is Cai Bin's secret weapon!

Wang YL shut up all of us!

after watching Poland’s game against Thailand this morning, I was reminded of how height can be such an advantage even against quick teams, with all those stuffed blocks. Not sure why China, although one of the tallest (if not the tallest?) teams, has such an ineffective block…
You can be tall, but still have poor judgement, poor technique, and lack the quickness to close the gap.

Gong going on a serving run!

Not me who spent 15 minutes to find out who Anna Hall is when I came across her on the USA roster page. Turned out to be Anna Stevenson 🤣
More worse, NCAA fans who are clueless about international vb seeing "Hall" on the roster thinking Thayer Hall (Florida) made the A Team and switched to middle blocker.

This forum had seen many 'hated' players and coaches but no one can come close to Chinese members' roasting skills. You guys are reading Cai Bin to filth, like daily😂
I'm not trying to protect him but the amount of hate he gets here is on a different level 😅
The library is open 24/7 here.

Don't worry, Yao Di will return in 2023.
Yao Di is concerning too because she also has injuries. We dont know what form she'll be in when she returns.
-
I thought so too and it’s gonna be a tough match tomorrow
I set up my alarm for this one.
-
Not impressed with the performance. The real test is tomorrow. I don’t think they can beat Japan; hopefully the score is not 3 - 0 in favor of Japan. DX should start tomorrow’s match. Why is she the backup setter? Has she regressed badly or quickly?
Age and injuries are catching up to Ding Xia.
I just wish there's a young setter coming out that can challenge Diao because she thinks she's their best setter right now starting at WCH when clearly she still has lots to work on. Don't want her to get big headed.
-
she looked alright. Not as sharp as she usually is but didn’t see her favoring one foot over another. She also had a couple of really good spikes within the 3m line
Her footwork seems slower. She's not 100% ready, but Cai Bin still uses her.

Haven't watched the match yet, but how'd Gong look? Did she look uncomfortable moving around?
It's a shame they really needed her to play in a match against Colombia when she could've got an extra days rest.
-
I know they said Gong will miss the first two matches, but China should prepare in the case she isn't ready by then.
For this match against Colombia they should try to get Chen Peiyan as much reps as possible or if Wang Yizhu is still Cai Bin's choice have Diao set her more often to get comfortable on the court and hitting from that side.

GXY injured indeed is a huge setback for 🇨🇳🏐NT. Hope it is not serious and I would rather have her rest the whole tournament. I am assuming the chance of winning over Japan and Brazil is very slim even if GXY who is not 100% healthy plays. It is better not to aggravate GXY’s injury further and damaged it permanently. Let Chen Peiyan play so she can get the experience.
It looked like she was limping walking down to join the players after the match, meaning she can't put weight on it right now.
I agree let Chen Peiyan play. She's her back for a reason, but then Cai Bin puts Wang Yizhu. He's learning from his mistake not letting those two get playing time at VNL.

Yuan giving Bia a run for her money.

I think Lai Yawen chose a political career in some sports-administration bureaucracy
Is she with the team in Netherlands? There was a female figure wearing a mask next to Gong, Ni Feifan, and Yu Jiarui in the crowd. I couldn't tell if it was her or Li Shan (who followed the team during VNL).
