I don’t think that’s reliable source at all, plus the only rumor out there is from voleybol magazin.. again, not very reliable.
Rumors about Gabi turned out to be true (probably) but this seems like far from done.Zehra is local and very valuable for any turkish club and Vakif can offer more then Imoco can for foreign player.
Letting Gabi go for younger alternative doesn’t seem that crazy having in mind that Vakif did let go of some of it’s players who are near the end of their prime in favour of younger ones (Rasic for Ogbogu, Gizem for Ayca, Naz for Cansu etc).
Zehra is young, local and core of the team so Vakif will fight to keep her. The only way of letting her go is if they think they found someone who can perform on similar level for less money ( Deniz Uyanik is only one that comes to my mind but she is not on Zehra’s level yet)
I do believe in Imoco’s managment to always look for and attract best players, but Vakif’s managment and resources they have are unmatched. As Rasic said in inteview few months ago “I wanted to stay in France for on more year but manager told me that Vakif calls only once and when they do you don’t say no”
Rumors are not facts so where does one even go to read "reliable" rumors when most of them are probably just leaked. There aren't that many volleyball publications that post placements until clubs officially announce it.
Also it's not like Volleyballworld's posts are 100% accurate so hating on a small website while everyone else goes to that same website is such a weird way since it will eventually be passed on

maybe manabe wanted an older more mature setter this time after miyashita basically spiraled downhill post-rio. saori and araki had to comfort her every time they lost a game and that kind of immaturity is a liability and adds more burden to the team. hence mayu emphasizing mental strength.
Seki is older for sure but I wouldn't call someone who buckles under pressure mature. Matsui despite being a disappointment held it together better than Seki in most matches. Also despite how much of a crybaby Miyashita was, she had great defense and chemistry with the key players which is not something you could say about Seki.
-
Seki is just whatever. If there was ever a more boring stagnant setter in Japanese history it would be her.

It was nice to see Mayu adapt well. She just arrived in Italy 7 days before their first competition and did ok in their first game. I was surprised how well she did considering her late addition. It would be harder for her in the next games for sure, given that they will have more data about her and Firenze, but atleast so far in her games, she is doing great for her first season outside Japan.
Not a fan of her in Toray (or idk I'm just not a fan of Toray I guess ), but I'm enjoying watching her at Firenze now.
Top Attackers (Kill%) as of Nov 21 (total attempts > 180)
Akimova (OPP) - 50.65%
Haak (OPP) - 50.00%
Egonu (OPP) - 48.85%
Zhu Ting (OH) - 44.56%
Ishikawa (OH) - 43.60%
Antropova (OPP) - 42.32%
I hope she learns a lot in her time there and as she said in the interview, I hope it improves her mental strength also.
Mayu was extra pissy in Toray especially once things got very real for her in the NT. The only one that hasn't changed is Seki and yet ironically she's the one left behind. I think if anything her experience in Italy will change her perspective since she's always had that mental strength from the very beginning.
If she intends to stay in Italy she will without a doubt have even bigger competition after Paris and if we're being realistic she wouldn't top the list as she is not your standard giant or even Gabi's height allrounder for an OH. Still I think they can find a way to include her somewhere.

It's such a pity that Momii's mia (again!!!). Not that I don't like their current main setter whose name I don't even know but I've always liked Momii's dynamic with Annie. Also, I'm getting bored of Seki and want someone else to challenge her position in the NT
-
I have no idea. I haven't seen her at all this season even in their post game photos or training videos posted.
Could she have possibly gotten injured during the Asian Championship? I don't remember how she did there

Ahh yes the girl that had a major glow up how can we not notice. If she grew her hair to a bob she'd be even prettier.
Her swing is ...standard but overall good form
She's blooming
-
Yes they didn't do well from what I recall but I think she's promising. I hope she goes to Saga LOL
I don't know if I like her vibe but she doesn't seem to fit Tsukuba's system with her dead serious eyes
Omori is my favorite out of the U bunch. Got a pretty good swing too
-
I just saw that and my heart sank. I sincerely hope she'll be able to overcome it
-
Miyashita is growing her hair It's.... I didn't like her 2019 ponytail.
She might be the only player I wish would transfer to a different club but she already sold her soul to Okayama

Nwakalor is the same age as Nishikawa and it's kinda hard to believe. There was a time when I really thought Yoshino had the potential to be NT material but she just had to Nakagawa it all up. She blipped as fast as Asano did
C'mon Asano was never good. It's a mystery how her and that Toyota girl with a permanent Harutaka haircut got into the NT **that one time** lol were the coaches on crack or what
-
Maybe Toray should be sent straight to V2 after this season
-
Arookie is disgusting never say that again
it lowkey fits her tho hahaha
-
we're talking about the same guy that was probably bribed to take in a 196cm college girl with no experience, exploited the legendary london squad to promote the hell outta his current unpopular team, benches mayu so she wouldn't steal koga's spotlight, tried to revive miyashita and then abandons her completely, and yanked airi out of the us so she can be a translator. those were his results so far. i wouldn't be surprised if he fucks it up again next year
-
Wouldn't the power dynamics between Victorina and the other V2 teams be overwhelmingly big? except for maybe that team with the former Olympian coach with import budget
well their point is that they won't be there for long it's really weird that it got that bad so it's a mystery to me why hitachi agreed to hire their former coach
-
Always amazes me when players can chase a ball out of bounds and thread the angle, with very little margin for error, and get it back over the net like Niida just did
who are you talking about? possible dark horse this season?
-
Yuri Yoshino, Yoshino Nishikawa or that Seitoku flop ace
seitoku flop who?
-
nwakalor aside, who will be toray's ace this season? nishikawa jr?
on the subject of yoshitake, her aim is horrible. it will take the entire 1st and 2nd sets before she gets one kill. during the turkey match she wasn't able to block either. not a good contender for the main opp position once nagaoka retires.
