Japan - V.League V1 (Division 1, Women) 2023-2024

  • Before this weekend comes here's the shift in rankings so far

    https://www.vleague.jp/record?round_id=350

    1. Derya enters Top Scorers at 127 points
    2. Sora Nagase Okayama Seagulls is new in the top 5 for Attack Decision Rate at 50%
    3. Nagaoka enters top 5 for Attack Decision Rate at 45.8%
    4. Ajcharaporn is now tied with Yamada in 2nd place with the most blocks

Nagase who but what's interesting is she's with Okayama they need to do better

  • Nagase who but what's interesting is she's with Okayama they need to do better

mb. one of okayama's oldest players. i dont remember if she even played last season

  • mb. one of okayama's oldest players. i dont remember if she even played last season

As much as Okayama has "starters", Sora has mostly been there the past 2 or 3 years, improving all along as her hair grew and you could stop mistaking her for Yuzu Nakamoto or Yuri Takayanagi

  • Who is Kanna? I just checked NEC's story she's not on any of it

Sarina is on NEC's stories the other day until yesterday. It's just not showing now anymore, but it's there until yesterday. I remember seeing some fans on twitter reposting it also and being happy that she's finally spotted in the training. Kanna is NEC's 3rd setter. They gave her a gift after the training.

  • I have no idea. I haven't seen her at all this season even in their post game photos or training videos posted.

Could she have possibly gotten injured during the Asian Championship? I don't remember how she did there

  • It's such a pity that Momii's mia (again!!!). Not that I don't like their current main setter whose name I don't even know but I've always liked Momii's dynamic with Annie. Also, I'm getting bored of Seki and want someone else to challenge her position in the NT

  • PFU Coach drops another funny philosophical rumination:

    Quote

In this morning's meeting, I tried to change my mind, but today is Yumi and 4T's birthday

Yes, it is their birthday today, isn't it? Yesterday was nothing. Yesterday was Pocky Day, right? Tomorrow is nothing

Yesterday is different from today. When today arrives, one's age has changed. I don't know if the reason why yesterday and today are different is simply because the date has changed or because I switched over when I went to bed, but anyway, yesterday and today are different. So let's fight as hard as we can in the time and moment that is today. I guess that's all.

  • Kurobe are applying to SV.League and are opening AQUA FAIRIES SQUARE, "a complex facility that also serves as an office, goods shop, and training gym in Kurobe City"

Still predict three teams from current V1 won't make it (one will be a shocker), and 3 or 4 teams from V2/3 will make it

  • Uchiseto doing commentary for the Saitama / Okayama match on vtv

  • Adding to the Momoko Niida mystique: She already has two blocks in this match and is currently ranked 10th in the league at blocking

V.League has her listed at 177.5cm

I didn't know she was that ... tall :rolll:

  • Uchiseto is a quiet mumbler :|

  • oh wow, I didn't notice Sayaka Seo has come on as setter for OK. I think this might be her V.League debut. She was setter for Amika Saiki (who isn't dressed tonight) at Matsuyama Shinonome HS. Has very Miyashita soft touch stylings
