She had one serve sub, that's it. She's going to be fine. She's the new Shinnabe , haven't you heard?
which set was that? i was looking forward to seeing her play but after watching mayu struggle to get the ball across i gave up on that thought

nagaoka needs to work on her serve what she did back there was awful. flopped the serve twice. other than that she should be good
LOL I
Nagaoka and friends
I'm not against it but getting an inexperienced setter of all positions might prove to be their undoing especially one that's an Olympic hopeful. Ding Xia is gonna pull all sorts of crazy shit on them and all Japan has to offer is Tashiro being the most predictable out of the 3 veteran setters.
The ace situation is chaotic as well. Simplify and focus on Koga's strength.
They don't have to beat China because I mean... but also by now they should be aware of which areas are lacking and hopefully in the match they don't go limp from just Zhu Ting's raw power.
i feel a little sad for miyashita. she was one of my faves when the 2 saoris were still around. she's in good condition, it's not like she did terribly during vleague but not good enough to bump off tashiro
Put it this way: With that lineup and Momii instead of Seki I would feel it's possible they could beat other teams. With Seki it might happen, but I won't feel it until it does
seki is probably on there because of kurogo and mayu
this reminds me of that time yanagida's fan blurred ishikawa from the all star banner that was a fan contest by v league idk if they printed it in the magazine
not them intentionally blurring Ishii's face
is that her in the middle? i was wondering who that is. really not the best angle
Display MoreI disagree with your list. Rosamaria and Drews don't belong to that list of 'top Opposites'. Goncharova, Tandara, and Rahimova were great opps in the past but all have passed their primes, and right now their attacking ratios are not more than decent. Martinez was playing as OH in Turkey so I didn't consider her as an Opp. Right now Ebrar is way better than Boz, you should check the stats better because Ebrar has better ratios at not only attacking but also serving and blocking. Her attacking level is more comparable to Vargas and Rhykliuk (Ebrar's attacking ratio would have been better if she wouldn't have played as OH and receive in many matches)
Considering overall attack, serving and blocking performances of Opps, to me:
Tier-1 Opps: Egonu, Boskoviç, Haak
Tier-2 Opps: Lippmann, Ebrar, Vargas, Stysiak
Tier-3 Opps: Tandara, Goncharova, Ryhkliuk, Rahimova
Tier-4 Opps: Drews, Rosamaria, van Hecke
What the fuck even. Goncharova that low? So Drews is Tier 4 just because she plays in Japan meanwhile lazy inconsistent Ebrar is in line with Vargas and Lippmann LMAO
If that's how it is compared to all 3 players in that tier Ebrar should be demoted to Tier 8 at the very least.

I don't understand why Nakada left out Sato AND Miyashita. They have the most experience and both are better than Tashiro. I'm going to reserve judgement on the younger setters as I have no idea who they are or what they're capable of. Didn't Sato plan on retiring but decided to postpone it for the sake of being able to play in the NT? but she doesn't even make this cut like what
only arguably the best, subjective and not a fact. haak is not number 1 yet, but definitely one of the most promising contenders.
